It's so exhausting having to apologize all the time. I cannot juggle all of my obligations because there are simply not enough hours in the day for me to do all the things I have to do. I missed every single sorority event this weekend because of work. Yeah, I could've gone at 11pm but by that point it wasn't worth it so I'd wind up going out with my friends. I misses Saturdays meet because Petco basically gave me an ultimatum. And now I'm missing todays practice because out of the 5 days to work they chose Monday for me to come in. And Jason isn't mad but he is reminding me how muchI'm letting people down.
It's tiring to hear over and over that you're letting people down when you have to forfeit time. But I have to be logical. I can't pay the bills if I don't keep my job at Petco, it simply won't happen. My parents have begun charging me an extra 50 a month. It may not be much more but it's hard.
I think I'm realizing why I like hanging out with Dorl so much. He doesn't expect anything from me. And he never ever lets me feel like I'm letting him down. If I can't do something he's okay with it. He doesn't give me shit and when we're hanging out we can act like we don't care about anything but drinking. We both know this isn't true. We both know we have a world of stresses but we talk about the shit that bothers us. We get it out, we eat some sushi, and we get drunk together. It's a pattern. We care about each other but we don't put pressure on each other to hang out all the time... which leads us to wanting to hang out all the time.
I don't want to go to work. I want to take a personal day and do nothing. I want to go back to summer where my obligations consisted of playing with little kids for four hours and destroying my liver every single evening.

Ahhh Nick and Norah was just as amazing as I was hoping. I am so glad Dorl and Jack changed their minds from wanting to watch Star Wars to go see it. I'm also glad I saw it with them because it felt like a flashback to high school again. I don't know. It was just good. I definitely recommend it. I also definitely recommend reading the book.
I'm now no longer tired but I'm going to try and force sleep anyway. I have class at 9am and then no obligations until cross country. How this is possible I have no idea but I am SO excited! SHIT wait I think I work? fuck. shit. Jas is gonna kill me. I knew it was too good to be true.

The Benefit show was AMAZING!! I'm SO happy with the turnout we got it's unbelievable. At our peak there were probably close to 200 people there. All of the performances went smoothly and sounded great. the modern dance team was awesome, breaking up some of the acoustic sets. The singers and guitarists were perfect. Dan and Smetona sounded SO good together. It was also really good to hear Merrick and Mike play together.
In the end we made $635. But that's not even the best part. The awareness was just unbelievable. Kareem spoke and it was awesome. I love him so much he's really a great guy. I think that kind of made the situation a little bit more real for some people. I know it did for me the first time I heard him. Aside from this, the school newspaper was interviewing us and told us they're doing an article about the event in the paper. Someone from the TU tv station was there filming the entire thing as well. So the publicity we got just made it that much better.
When you got out the 340 we still have a 300$ gain. I'm excited to say that we actually have MONEY now! Now we can figure out what to do next. On to bigger things possibly? It was nice to have an event that went so well because now people will come out to our future events!
I have so many people to thank. I have to send out thank you's to all the guys who performed. I have to thank all my friends who came out. Esp Ash and Greg (you guys stayed the entire time! thank you!) About 10-15 of my pledge sisters came out and stayed the entire time as well as some of the Maryvale XC girls I coach. I can't believe this turned out so well. I'm seriously on a high right now.
Of course this high led us all to a massive after party. After we counted up the money and put it away for safe keeping we headed to my basement for some serious partying. We started with Kings, landmine, and eventually got into Spin the Bottle. We managed to hit every high school game in one night. By this point we were all pretty drunk so we started dancing. And boyyy did we dance. We put on the 90's dance tunes featuring La Bouche and Le Click and RealMcCoy and all those pump up jams. We danced and I don't know how long we danced for but I just remember my body being all over the place and Jack and Tim were everywhere and Racquel was too and we were having the time of our lives and in one quick moment it went from a dance party to an after rock show hotel party and we were throwing open beer cans and spraying shit everywhere and I didn't even care because I was having so much fun.
By the end we were all exhausted. Jack kept going, convincing everyone it was a good idea to hold a beer in the air and have three people try to catch it in their mouths. This of course just led to everybody getting drenched in beer. as well as a sticky kitchen floor.
I have a lot of cleaning to do but I did most of it while I was drunk last night. Alll I really need to do now is vaccuum and rent a steam cleaner before the beer sets in too badly. I also have to magic erase my entire walls. It's pretty bad.
Jack texted me last night on his way home "Dude you're fucking awesome". He was wasted the entire night but in all seriousness, Dorl Jack and I have managed to have some of the best times the past few days. I've loveddd it.

Last night... hmm. Well. It started with me playing super smash with Timmy Chris and Shu in the family room at the guys. They had started drinking around 7:30 and I couldn't because I had homecoming practice at 8pm but to my excitement it got canceled because of the thunderstorm. So of course I started figuring out the nights plans.
I went over my house and started cleaning. A lot of people were at the NFG concert so I got ready in the mean time. Dan came over and I gave him cash for a 30 of miller. Dorl came over and we made tea. The three of us hung out for about half an hour and then all the guys came over. We sat around the table drinking beer. I played Ride the Bus with Dorl trying to wake him up by getting him drunk.
Racquel and Jack came over after the concert and Tim Bojo came over a little bit later. Nothing really special happened. We were all drunk reading from "What your birthday reveals about you" and listening to the new FiTH song. But somewhere around the end of the night it took a turn. A bunch of people had started leaving and Racquel and Tim were in the kitchen. I don't know where I was, but in attempt to hug Racquel, Timmy missed and plummeted down my entire staircase. He landed on his side and couldn't move and we were all laughing because it was the most rediculous tumble. ever.
Needless to say after I patched him up and got him ice and neosporin for all the cuts he went back to the guys house to crash. This morning I woke up to a picture of his swolen Quasimoto eye. It's pretty bad. So I picked him up, we went to panera for brunch and took him back to the guys to get some ice. He's on his way to the eye doctor now to figure out whats wrong with it.
I texted Bojo last night in a fit of laughter: Remember the time tim fell into the drumset? He just fell down an entire flight of stairs.
The dry humor of it all just killlllss me.
I need to go get ready for all of todays events! Cross country, Dove Campaign, and Homecoming practice.
