So today steve and i tackled the big task of painting all of the trim in our room. I wanted to only do half of it now and then do half another day but steve wanted to do it all so we did. It took us all day. Right up until steve had to get ready to leave for work at nine thirty. We got up at tweleve thirty which is really early for steve because he gets out of work at seven at the earliest, so he only slept for that long, and then we painted. Since the trim in the room includes the baseboards, and since against the wall there's a big dresser with alot of audio equipment on it, two bookcases, a cd stand, the bed(which has a ton of stuff under it), two nightstands and a bunch of adjustable shelves with the tv, vcr, etc on them.. we had to move all of those things to do it. Boy was the room a mess. But, an added benefit of doing that and moving everything is that alot of dust got cleaned, so the room is probably a whole lot cleaner now. Which is good. The color that we decided on is a yellowish color, but it's sort of a duller yellow, it's got green and brown tones in it which makes it look better against the green of the room, and not stand out so much. I have to do some touchups but that should be easy. We also readjusted the shelves with the tv and other stuff on them to make the tv be a little lower. We had to take that all down anyway because it was overlapping a little of the window trim. I don't think i've ever seen so many wires. I was really pleasantly surprised that steve had no problem in hooking them all up again.
I really hate that commercial where there's some guys in a truck and the guy in the middle in the back is singing that shania twain song I Feel Like a Woman, and all the other guys are creeped out and so they don't want to be touching him.. and the commerical is saying that the car is big enough and all that. But it's really stupid, and it pisses me off that they think the guy is creepy because he's being to feminine, and anyway if they think it sucks that much then why are they listening to that song in the first place?
On a related note has anyone seen those new quiznos commercials with the singing.. thing? "they got a pepper bar." i think those are hilarious. By the by, Quiznos has a veggie sub that is really good. They are sort of expensive though, but not that bad. Steve thinks that the commercials for the aol high speed internet with the bike guys that put the aol high speed on their bikes to make them go faster are hilarious.
I was watching mythbusters the other day and they were testing the myth that if you leave your toothbrush in the bathroom then it gets bacterial that's from fecal matter on it. Results? yes it does. BUT.. the toothbrushes that they kept under a tuperware cover in the kitchen.. and brushed thier teeth at the kitchen sink.. and that weren't even ever in the bathroom had the same bacterias too. In about the same amounts. As they put it, "poo is everywhere." Even though it's gross none of the toothbrushes had enough bacteria to actually like do any harm.
