Sleeping Beauty???!!! [26 Sep 2004|11:43pm] [ mood | intimidated ] [ music | Forth Earlingas - LOTR ] I was looking for novels by Anne Rice since someone (have forgotten who) told me that she had written kick ass novels! And she has! She has written: * Interview With The Vampire. * The Vampire Lestat * The Queen of the Damned And many many more vampire chronicles (although these are the most well-known). Elfje, something for you perhaps? Anyway, all was well in the Ilfje-universe. And then I decided to search for some other novels written by her. And I found the Witch chronicles: with o.a. The Witching hour. She has also written The Mummy! OMFG! And then I walked against a sign that said "Hard Core Erotica". Of course, my curiosity couldn't resist, so I just had to click on the link to see what erotica she had written. It was not what I expected.... She has written... a sleeping beauty trilogy! That right, Sleeping Beauty! The trilogy consists of: *The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty - The story starts at the end of the Sleeping Beauty Fairy Tale when the Prince comes and awakens Beauty. Only in this story, he takes her as his sex slave. *Beauty's Punishment - It is the continuing story of Beauty and her trials and tribulations as a sex slave. *Beauty's Release - Here, the Beauty Saga is at long last resolved. I am speechless you liar!. I don't know what to say. She was one of my favorite Disney-characters! So pretty and blonde and such. Hell, even the woman in the green dress on my blurty-site is one of the faeries who blessed Aurora! And now, *sob* a sex slave? A few minutes later my sister calls on his car-phone to ask him if he'd like to come over that night to chat. (She was about to spend the second night at her home again, after staying with us for two weeks due to her abusive ex-boyfriend.) My father declines the offer, telling her that he has an appointment with some friends, and hangs up the phone a few minutes later. He tells me that he has made no such appointment, but doesn't feel like spending the evening at my sisters house. 22.30 p.m.: Someone calls on the housephone but I decide not to answer it since my parents had just gone to bed a few minutes ago and I didn't feel like chatting with one of his friends or some stupid salesperson. The thought enters my head for a moment that it might be my sister, but I decide not to pick up the phone, thinking that if it indeed is her, she should learn to call on a more appropriate time. 23.00 p.m.: My father gets a phonecall from the police, telling him that they have arrested my sisters ex-boyfriend. He had broken into her house and had beaten the shit out of her. The front door is in ruins. 23.15 p.m.: My father and mother go to my sisters house to wait for a man to repair her front door. Wednesday, 22-09-2004. 03.00 a.m.: My parents, sister and her child finally arrive at our home. Dad and I feel guilty and like shit. "Could we have reached her home sooner if I answered the phone, thus preventing some damage?" "Would this have happened if my dad had decided to visit my sister?" "Why did she so desperatelly want to go to her home anyway???" 09.00 a.m.: The police let my sisters ex go from the police-station. 10.00 a.m.: My sisters ex visits my sisters guardian and tells her that he will kill my sister if she doesn't return to him within 5 days. 10.30 a.m.: My sisters guardian calls the police and tells them about the threat. Immortal... what the Fuck? [18 Jul 2004|08:13pm] [ mood | shocked ] I was browsing around on the internet and I stumbled upon a picture of the DADA book which Harry uses in the movie PoA. It was opened on one of the pages about wherewolves, and I thought "Why don't I just try to read it". And I was able to read of few sentences of the page and they just shocked. me. to. death. I'll write the sentences down that shocked me so much, so you can see what I'm talking about. "Wherewolves are immune from aging and from most physical diseases due to the constant regeneration of their physical tissue. They can, therefore, be virtually immortal. However, they can be killed by any wound that destroy the heart or the brain, or any form of death that causes heart or brain damage - such as hanging or other oxygen-deprivations methods." This means that, concidering that I included material of the movie to be canon, that Lupin is immortal. Then why does he age in the books? Why the grey hair? Why, why, why? My most favorite fic, Number 1: Story: Here Be Monsters I: Wizard's Lament Author: Dzeytoun Yahoo-group author: Dzeytounsroom Rating: PG 13 Pairing: None, or parental Albus/Harry. A bit Ron/Hermione. Summary: Albus Dumbledore has lived a very long time. But the summer following Harry's fifth year will see events to change his life forever. My own review: God I love this fic and the author! This story is written in Albus' point of view and continues in a story from Remus point of view. After that, the story will return to Albus. Basically the story continues after Harry leaves Hogwarts after OotP and deals with Harry losing his godfather and the relationship between Albus and Harry. In the mean time, the twins jokeshop is about to open and Voldemort and the deatheaters are scheming again. Harry has been poisened and is slowly starting to lose his mind. Number 2: Story: Daddy's Favorite Author: Dzeytoun Yahoo-group author: Dzeytounsroom Rating: PG-13 Pairing: Parental Albus/Harry Summary: One is the Boy Who Lived, the other the Greatest Wizard in the World. They are watched by all, friend and enemy. And in the wake of Harry's disastrous fifth year, everybody has an opinion. My own review: This story is to be read next to 'Here be Monsters'. Every chapter is written in a different pov, including the pov of Bill Weasley, McGonagall, Umbridge, Percy, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Professor Sprout, and many more. My favorite chapters are 5,7,9,10 and 16. Especially chapter 16, which is written in the POV of Mundungus Fletcher, after he left Harry to the Dementors in OotP. ( The rest behind this link ) Now this is of course only my top five list, but making this list already took me a looong time, so I didn't feel like including other fics as well. Plus it would hurt my image to list NC-17 fics down here. What image? Shut up! Including *gasphowdareyouleavethatficout!* Draco/Harry fics. But if you'll ask sweetly I'll try to find a few of my favorites of that pairing as well and hide them from my non-friends. You might realise by now that I am very fond of Albus Dumbledore. Teehee. Oh, and I hate Ginny! But I will sacrifice my prejudices of this pairing when if 'Here be Monsters' starts supporting Harry/Ginny. Yes, it's supporting, since the story isn't written in Harry's POV. And I was so attached to him and especially the newly formed understandment between him and Harry. *sobs more* I am in denial.... Whining about Family [12 Jul 2004|11:09pm] [ mood | crappy ] I am dead. No seriously, I am dead. I have died and you may all visit me at my funeral. Do note however that I like orchids and roses, and that I hate all other flowers. So bring daisies to my grave and you'll be sure to meet me in front of Hell's gate. I planned to tell you about my classes Physical Anthropology, which were muj bien, so I've been waiting for a week now for inspiration to strike me. (Inspiration strikes me as lighting strikes me.) But my inspiration had abandoned me, so the part about PA will have to wait. (I passed with 70% however, so in theory I am allowed to follow the practical in february.) I also composed a meme on my laptop today, but forgot to save it, so you won't be seeing the meme here either. So this entry is actually going to be really really really boring. And there will be lots of whining in it too. Since these are the holidays etc... Part 1: My sister visits us at least 3 times a week, since she has a holiday as well. I might kill her. GRRRR!!! Yesterday she said to me:"I do hope that you will someday forgive me for everything that I've done to you. And I also hope that you will someday see that I've changed." So I just responded:".... grmnd.... errr... hmmm... right.... *cough*..." So my sister was all disapointed that I didn't shout:"OMG!!!11!! I, like, so forgive you! ILUVUU!!11 Giveme KISS!!!" and she stalked away anoyed. Part 2: But the fun didn't end there. She told the story to my mother. So after she went home I had to enjoy listening to my mother for half an hour while she said such things as:"Well you do have to admit that she has changed her attitude towards you" and "I so love it when the two of you get along". She just doesn't seem to realise that I don't want to forgive her. I don't like my sister. I really don't. I wish she would get out of my life and stay away. The only reason that I'm tollerating her is that I happen to love her daughter, my niece. Part 3: I have found the perfect way of losing weight. You go to a restaurant with your parents, sister, and her almost 2 years old daughter. Then you wait 15 minutes untill your niece gets hysterical because of all the strange and frightening people in the restaurant. Then you watch in vain as her mother, grandfather and grandmother try to comfort her, while your niece continues screaming for at least 15 minutes. Then you look surprised as they dump your niece onto your lap, and even more surprised when said niece discontinues crying within 5 seconds. Then you spend the next hour with your gigling niece on your lap while you try to prevent her to shove your fork into your nose. Don't think abot eating, you're on a Diet! Try to save your nostrils instead. It's not that I'm annoyed that I spent an hour in a restaurant with my niece on my lap. I love my niece. (In fact, it's quite flattering to have your niece choose your company over that of her mother, grandfather and grandmother.) I just hate the fact that my parents take her to a restaurant when they know that she isn't able to spend time in a room with even 2 unknown people without freaking out. But my parents tried to justify it by saying:"She has to learn how to behave in a restaurant" and "Look how she clings to you. That must mean that you're a good person. Children can feel something like that instantly." Part 4: And then the worst part came. After the fiasco at the restaurant we walked back home (the restaurant is around the corner) and my mother said to me:"You're her (my nieces) mummy too you know." And then my niece said:"Mummy!" And I kept saying, spastically:"Iris! Iris! I'm Iris!" While thinking:"What the Fuck?! Since when am I her mother?? Did I choose to be a mother? Hell no!" A quiz to entertain you. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [29 Jun 2004|07:37pm] [ mood | excited ] J.K. Rowling has confirmed the title of the new Harry Potter book. You know, book 6!! The name of the title is *drumroles please* "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" But the Half-Blood Prince is neither Harry or Voldemort, as she says in this post. "I was delighted to see that a hard core of super-bright fans knew that the real title was once, in the long distant past, a possibility for 'Chamber of Secrets', and from that deduced that it was genuine. Certain crucial pieces of information in book six were originally planned for 'Chamber of Secrets', but very early on (first draft of Chamber) I realised that this information's proper home was book six. I have said before now that 'Chamber' holds some very important clues to the ultimate end of the series. Not as many as six, obviously, but there is a link. Anyway: if you continue to exercise patience, you will find that the Do Not Disturb Door opens again… and again… giving you further hints about book six. But as a little bonus, and compensation for having been messed around by Mr. or Ms. Storgé, I shall tell you one thing without making you shift any bricks at all: the HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And that's all I'm saying on THAT subject until the book's published." New actors and actresses of HP GoF [22 Jun 2004|08:31pm] [ mood | cynical ] Tata, just a few notes about the new actors and actresses for the next Harry Potter movie. Cedric will be played by Robert Pattinson, who you can see on the picture under this sentence. Yes, I realise that the picture is quite bad, but it's the only one that I've got. I hope he's somewhat handsomer in real life than the picture makes him look like. Fleur Delacour will be played by Clemence Poesy, who you can see on the following picture. I guess she's okay. Actually, now that I think of it, I'm quite pleased with her casting. Professor Moody will be played by actor Brendan Gleeson, the ugly man on the following picture. I can see him being Moody with many, many scars. Frances de la Tour has been casted as Madame Maxime. I couldn't find a neat picture of her, so you'll have to use your immagination though. Cho Chang has appearently also been casted. There were 50 new sites for the lucky girl (whose name was, I believe, Katie Lueng), but none of them had a decent picture, or the bandwidth of the site blablabla.... I saw two pictures of her, but they dissapointed me that much, that I didn't dare to put them on this site. I didn't find a picture of the guy who is about to play Victor Krum.
