Well, it's another midnight-shopping thingy at WEM, so back to the mall I go. Christmas shopping has got me tired... I mean... I like shopping and buying gifts for people and everything, but some people are impossible to buy for. >_< And sometimes I just get frustrated with how expensive everything is... especially junk... it's like... if I bought that for someone... they might think I spent like $5 on them... but the bloody thing cost $30! Hello crazy insane markup. My hair is getting just about long enough to put it up in little pigtails. =] Of course, it's been reaching past -20 degrees Celsius, so with a half-bald head, it's not something to be all that excited about. =P I think I'm going to subscribe to "Hawaii" magazine... a "Hawaii" magazine is so much more interesting than a "Alberta" magazine would be. =P I don't even think there is an Alberta magazine... |

Has Blurty seemed kinda slow for anyone sometimes? It's been like that for me... and it used to be the fast site =( Anyway, here's a character survey... thought I'd post it here instead of the RPG comm since I might end up using characters that aren't from the three RPGs. ( survey ) |

I think I need to write more substantial entries more often. I've been making a lot of rapid posts about nothing on my LJ. I dunno, sometimes I just don't feel like thinking that hard. Othertimes, the only thing on my mind is something really not that deep. Like this Kraft Dinner newsletter thingy I got today. I signed up at... I think it was Kraftkitchens.ca and they send you recipes every now and then. Today's recipe was for chocolate pecan tarts. UGH! I haven't even eaten breakfast yet... and I was starving... but I've lost my appetite now. I don't usually hate foods but I think pecans are simply terrible. Just awful... so yeah, I don't like praline-flavored anything either, it may be a bit sweeter but it's still PECAN! It's even a terrible sounding word. Pe-can. Pe-CAN. PE-can. So awkward and cacophonic, no matter which way you say it! Edit: I just went to the Kraft Kitchens site by clicking on that link and I got some weird code stuff. Hmmm... either I got the URL wrong or something's wrong with their site. |

Bleeeh @ yucky totally-synthetic-way-past-sorta-fake-sm Anyway, I'm playing Neopets again 'cos I haven't in awhile. I discovered they retired a bunch of keyrings, so hopefully I can make a profit off of that... I only had a couple, but eh, I hardly ever have any rare items so I'm happy enough ^_^; I keep winning faeries and stuff from the guild I'm in, but I think I've only used one so far. I keep getting the urge to draw, and I'll end up grabbing whatever's around me and drawing on it (or with it), but haven't done anything good so far. Just scribbles and stuff. Oh, but the other day Marvin got me more fine-point Sharpies so maybe I can make more coloring pages... but I dunno... I don't work on the Games site anymore 'cos the RPG is inactive... maybe I'll make random coloring pages for... uh... no reason... ^_^; I'm so used to ball-point pen though, I have a feeling I have to practice for awhile first. Anyway... this saturday Marvin and I are going to see Michael Kaeshammer in St. Albert. =) I don't know why he's preforming in St. Albert instead of Edmonton... but ah well... at least we get to spend a day there; not that there's much there but I think I've only been there once. *stares at monitor and taps fingers on the keyboard* Waking up early leaves me with a lot of time and nothing to do... ._.; P/S: "Fortune Faded" is an awesome song. *heartheartheart* |

I just thought of something; if I don't get to go to school this coming January, I'm going to throw a fit. I'm taking music, because I am an insane woman. I went from English, to foreign lit, to art history, to music... I will probably go full circle and end up with English again, even though what I really want to do is become a chef. Actually I guess I will just use my first two years to dabble, since I'm allowed to do that now (re: don't have controlling parent staring over my shoulder and telling me what to do). I got a letter from Grant Macewan that said they're changing the minimum GPA needed to get into the U of A. Or something. Whatever it is, it has to be higher than 2.0. ... Um... if you're lower than 2.0, you'd be on probation, and you wouldn't be able to transfer anyway. In fact, if you're on probation you run the risk of being kicked out of college. =P What a strange letter. I'm not really paying it any mind unless they mean that they're raising it to like, 4.0 or something =P I have very little faith that I'll ever make it to university; not because of grades but because of money and what happened the first time around. On a different wavelength, I'm plugging Marvin's new LJ for him again. Remember to go add him to your friends' list if you have a LJ, or bookmark it if you don't. Here's the URL: http://www.livejournal.com/users/marvman Remind me to go yell at him for writing the "why can't I be the one to stay home?" line. After I told him how much it bothers me when people tell me that. I know it *sounds* like fun but trust me it isn't. You spend your reclusive days and nights wishing you were out there doing something with your life. And you wonder why you can't. Has it ever occurred to those people that hey, maybe something's actually wrong with this situation. You know. Because normal people wouldn't be hermits and all. But other than that, I think you will like Marvin's journal because he talks about bass and music a lot, and he's a very educated and talented musician. It should be him taking music at Grant Macewan (#1 school for music! apparently), I bet he'd do great. He actually does get to go to school, except I think it's at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) for electronics or something. Because he's got this electrician apprenticeship now. It's only for one semester, I think... but I'm not sure. Did you know he went to VCC and he has a diploma? And that VCC is one of the best schools for culinary arts? Unfortunately it's in Vancouver, so there's next to no chance of me ever going there. =P Marvin, if you're reading this, there's new Fleamail, go read it! I went to this currency converter thingy to see how much it'd cost us to join the fanclub, and it's like almost $40. Each. *dies* I don't know if I'm ready to pay money for a thing like that. That'd be my most expensive internet-y thing ever. It's like an extended RHCP website or something =P They show pictures of get-togethers and stuff but I'm assuming those are for locals. After all, the Chili Peppers haven't been to Edmonton in 16 years... Okay, one last thing since I'm rambling now. Pink mints taste the best, but there are hardly any pink ones in my bag of mints. They're mostly white and green and I don't like those flavors as much... |

Wow, I haven't updated this in awhile... ^_^; bad me. And I thought I said I'd try to write here more often. Well, I probably haven't since my life is the same every day... what would I have to write about? =p I've been RP-ing like a madwoman and am glad Forever's moving again... now how about the other two? ;) Liessa's RPG even got busy for a short while. It seems to come and go in spurts... like my recognition of the characters there. =P I swear, I keep forgetting all the baddies' names... even my own... probably because he was a character made by someone else. =P I wouldn't have given him a Japanese name if it was up to me... On a different note, I joined this jewelry-club thingy, right? It's kind of like a bookclub. Every two months they send you a new piece of jewelry, and if you don't want it, you can send it back. I sent back this watch, but I just stuck it in a regular envelope because I'm cheap ^_^;; but... it's just a watch! It's flat! It isn't any fatter than a bunch of papers folded up and stuck into the very same envelope. Still, they sent it back to me and the "Return to Sender" reason that was checked was "dimensions". *rolls eyes* It's NOT a big watch. It's such a waste of time (and money) to buy a big puffy bubble envelope and send it as a parcel instead of a letter. *sigh* I guess that'll give me something to do this weekend, though. I've also got to mail Windy-chan's poster... ^_^;;; man, I hope you still like X-Men *laughs sheepishly* At first I wanted to stick it into a box with the rest of your things, but I couldn't find the proper size box. It was either too big for the items or too small for the poster. Another thing I have to do is find some Christmas music to play at the recital. I went to this one music store in the mall but all they had was guitar and piano stuff. I know it was a piano store, but they had violins on the wall, so I thought they would sell the music, too =P I didn't bother with the other music store in the same mall. It's all electric guitars and stuff and the books are all Korn and Sum 41 because you need music to play Korn and Sum 41 songs *rolls eyes* |

Fire-chan, because of the current Mystery Island plotline, none of the Island things are working. v_v Including the trading post... =( I got your bid thingy, but it was just the message, so when I clicked on it I was brought to the "Island Faerie has been kidnapped" or something screen ^_^; So, er... we'll have to try again once the plot is over, I guess... sorry ^_^; Edit: ( Fruit Machine ) |

*sniffles* Aw... I know it's illegal, but Grumpibear from the Neocommunity and I were trying to transfer a pet... a fire Kougra! We were talking on AIM so I know exactly when she put it in the pound... as soon as it appeared, it was snatched up by somebody else. v_v I guess we should've arranged to do it late at night, instead of in the afternoon... on a weekend... ^_^; It was a lab pet, so she's not too upset, but I really wanted a fire Kougra. v_v The weird thing is, we went to see who had the Kougra, and it was some girl claiming that she didn't adopt any pets; she earned the NP herself for paintbrushes. *furrows brow* But after checking her pets... we realized that the Kougra was the only "painted" pet, unless "blue" counts as a painted color. =P Odd... |

I found Bill Cheatem the other day and tried playing it. ^_^; It's the kind of song that sticks in your head for like, hours afterwards... *.* I recognize it though, but I'm not sure from where... After my lesson today, we went to Safeway and I bought some stuff for cupcakes. I decided I wanted to make a dessert that looked like my froggie... ^_^; that is, yellow with green spots. So I asked Marvin if he wanted ice cream or cake or something, and we decided on cupcakes. Tee hee ^_^ Once I got home, I realized I didn't have a new "Cooking with Molly Cam-Cam" thing for my site, so I thought that the cupcakes'll be the first one. =) It's a really easy recipe.. ^_^;; But Marvin's sleeping right now, and I need him to hold the camera for me, so... maybe tomorrow (or later, if he wakes up). Only thing is, to save time I bought a can of ready-made icing... since I'm doing a thingy for my site I'm wondering if I should make the icing from scratch. But what'll I do with the icing? *rubs chin* Ah well... the girl on 30 minute meals uses pre-made things, so... it isn't always an evil thing to do. ;) I bought a bunch of Pokemon stickers, too. They were all 50% off. *laughs* Okay, okay... no more spending money. I've actually been pretty good with that... well... I paid for my lessons for the semester; they had this special where if you did it before Sept. 30, you'd get a discount ^_^; If you don't, you either pay the regular price for the semester, or just pay month-to-month... which is kind of a hassle. I want to watch my Dixie Chicks DVD, but I'm not sure how to turn the DVD player on... well, I know how to turn it on, but you have to turn the channel on the VCR or something and I never know which one... it took me long enough to figure out how to work the Gamecube. *sweatdrop* It doesn't help that it's completely different to turn on the Playstation... I haven't played the Street Figher EX2 (or whatever it's called) game Marvin bought me for a looonng time... doesn't help that he never plays Street Fighter with me. v_v Since I've been playing the game since grade school, I can .. um... well, I'm a little better than he is. ;) Of course, he gets back at me by beating the bejeezus outta me in Smash Bros. And any other game we play. ^_^; Since I'm talking about games... who's played that new Soul Calibur game? I've just gotta try it *.*;; |

*face turns all red* I was playing my fiddle a bit too loudly, and didn't hear Marvin come home. Which is saying a lot because our living room is only a few steps from the front door... ^_^; I was probably blushing like crazy when I said, "Now you know how terribly I play Turkey in the Straw!" and he was like, "Oh, that was Turkey in the Straw?" LOL when a person can't tell what song you're playing, that's not a good sign. ^_^; So I said, "You only caught the last notes of it... right?" But Marvin replied, "No, it sounded like jazz to me! Improv jazz!" So then I do the try-to-quickly-recover-thing: "Yee-ee-eah, that's what I was doing! Improv!" On another note, I don't have Turkey in the Straw in my "main" book, but I found it in this "Learn to Play Bluegrass" book I bought awhile ago, so I just had to play it. ^_^; It is one of the quintessential Beginner's Songs and since I'm starting to cover all of them, my life just wouldn't be complete without Turkey in the Straw. *snickers* If you were ever wondering what I considered the quintessential beginners' songs, here's a partial list... when I think of more I'll add them: -Clair de lune -When the Saints Go Marching In -Oh Susanna -Ode to Joy... Beethoven... right? C C D E E D C B A A B C C B B ... everyone knows that one! -Minuet (I don't know what it's really called...) -My somehow (or rather, "suddenly") beloved Turkey in the Straw -And ... and... maybe Arkansas Traveler. The one that there's a kiddie version, where the lyrics are, "I'm bring home a baby bumble bee... won't my mommy be so proud of me?" *laughs* I know there are others... but those are the ones that come to mind first. Maybe "Take me out to the ball game" is one. Also, I'm beginning to discover that while it may not be a piano song, for fiddle "Old Joe Clark" is very ... popular. I have it in two of my books and found it in at least two others in the store... Anyway... Marvin's gone out to get us some food... I'm going to drink a litre of cold water 'cos my cheeks hurt from laughing too much. ^_^;; P/S: I'm hungry. ;__; I can't wait to eat normally again! (or at least somewhat normally). You know the teeth marks you get on your tongue when it's swollen after being pierced? I have those on the insides of my cheeks! |
