Well this is the story so far....................
Chris has run all the RCA's, speaker wires and power cable ready for the amos etc. The head unit plug is in. The false floor and the cover for the fuel tank is cut! The indicator issue with it draining power was solved by a new flasher can..............however since having the dash out my electric mirros no longer function BUT thats a minor hiccup!
To do............ Daz is coming over Saturday to build the sub box, and cut the flase floor into 3rds ready to install into the boot. Chris is going to make up a bracket to hold the cradle so we can mount the head unit.
Chris and myself then need to look at the doors and work out how to mount the damn VS Door map pockets to my 929 doors. Apparantly not hard but i dont talk to the guy that told me its easy anymore so yeah we have to work it out. The tweeters and speakers will then have to be mounted into the doors.
I have lots of carbon fibre sticky stuff to put everywhere in the interior in the dash area. it will match the new carbon fibre gear stick knob i brought :)
We have 2 purple strobe lights for the boot. That will make it a bit funky!
Um currently the car has most the dash missing, centre console missing, and no back seat. The carport also looks alot like a construction zone of sorts :) But its all good.
Yet to do............... need to source some purple carpet for the boot, (false floor and sub box) and also for the map pockets where i ripped off the old grey carpet. Might not use carpet though might end up using like a felt type thing coz a) its cheaper b) its a bit funkier C) dunno if i can purple carpet i like D) dunno if i can buy carpet in small amounts (only need abotu 1 1/2 metres squared)
Pics to come this weekend as i have to get the digi camera. Will have some up by Sat lunch of how the car is right now. By Sunday we might have it a bit together so i will have up even more. Wish us luck!!
Thanks
Nic
