Teaching is a bliss, heh.

Oh, and I know this has nothing to do with me; but, what the hell went on with Liyah Montero?

After having a long and meaningful conversation with Calista Joshuan, I would like to take the time and publically aplogize to the whole Dover Academy.

What I did was stupid. There are no words I can express on how terribly I feel for the actions I have done. I apologize for the people I may have directly or indirectly affected with my actions. I realize that I, an an adult, must step up and act maturely with my job. And from the past week, I have been doing a pretty bad job at jus that. I'm not trying to back my actions up by blaming anyone, I'm just stating an apology out to everyone out there. Now while debating on if I'll continue to stay at Dover; slips to get out of my class are available at the main office.

Drama, drama, drama. Almost reminds me of how things were when I was in High School. And the best thing of it all? Regardless of it may be true or not, I love it.

You know what's the worst thing ever? When you can't sleep and you have to go to work in three hours. And you know what doesn't help much either? Still having to grade papers. But no worries kids, I'll have updated grades tomorrow. Even if it means I won't be at school tomorrow.

What a great beginning to a new school year. The first couple of days of school have been great.

-- He nodded to himself in agreement, scratching the back of his head as he brings his hands to the keyboard once again to start typing. --

The kids have been somewhat respectful for me as my first day of teaching. I know kids expected not to have any homework on the first week of school, but guess what? I gave them an unexpected assignment. A very good one, in fact. It was an essay on what moment in history had affected them the most. One of the outstanding papers I had read was by Talia Monroe. Her paper stood out from the rest of the class because she had actually taken time to write her paper and use detail and whatnot. Very impressing for second day of school work, especially after being on summer vacation. One thing that stood out on her paper was that her friend had died during the attack and it had changed her perspective on life completely. That's what I liked about the paper. It seems as if she had matured after the incident; more or less opened her eyes to gain a new perspective on life if you would call it.

-- Eyes looked over at the paper next to him at the " A+ " making with a circle around it. --

But other than that, the kids have been really good. Some girl even came up to me and asked me if I was a new kid. I don't think I look that young now, do I? Of course not. Anyways, it's been a long day and I think I'm going out to this new club that opened up two nights ago and get drunk. Good night Dover.

- He sits at his desk, eyes looking around the empty house. Eyes looked across the scattered pieces of paper before his eyes looked at the illuminated computer screen. He blinked a bit as he took off his glasses, rubbing his eyes and then put them back on. -

So this is where I write about what goes on in the life of a teacher, right? Well, knowing that not many people will be reading this, I suppose I won't have much to say. But basically, my name is Matthew Stanton. That would be Mr. Stanton to the rest of you. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California. I've lived there for most of my life but moved here about a month ago due to a promotion I got. I got assigned to teach at Dover. I've heard many great things about Dover and their scholar programs and all. So this is basically where I'm at. I'm sure most of you are thinking that just because I'm a teacher I must be old and not relate to any of your problems, right? Wrong. I'm actually only twenty-six years old. Surprising much, is it? Yeah, most students are when they try to pull the " You're a teacher. You don't know what goes on in a student's life." But honestly, I do. Anyways, I think I'm talking too much about myself and I need to get some sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a great day, considering it'll be my first day of teaching. I'll write about the experience tomorrow. Good night.

- Eyes read over the update once again as his lips curved to a content smile and then updated the journal. -
