Okay. I'm going to give you every detail from start to finish.
MEST CONCERT!
Kayla picked me up about 4:15pm and she already had Taylor so we just went from my house. We listened to Mest in the car all the way to Olathe. When we got to Olathe we went to McDonalds because all of us were starving. We ordered our food and went and sat in the little area where the Playplace is. I sat with Kayla's Mom while Taylor and Kayla went and played in the slides and stuff. Then we left McDonalds. After the Mest CD was over we put in the FallOut Boy one, cause we're really cool. Anyways, it seemed to take forever to get there when really it was only about an hour and a half. Anyhow, we got to Lawrence and went one block over like the directions said but uhm, yea. They weren't right. So, we stopped and asked someone. We had to go another block, so it was two instead of one.
Anyway, when we got there Kayla's Mom let us out and we walked across to where the line was. The line wasn't long at all. We started around the corner and then it was all along one stretch of sidewalk, which is tiny compared to Civic Tour. Anyways, it was freezing and I only had a hoodie on over my shirt. So, we were standing and freezing and I felt like my nose was going to fall off. This girl came up to me, she had the coolest hair, and she handed me one fo those Vegan booklets. She said Jere would be signing them after the show, so since it was for a good cause and I'm all for Animal Rights, I took one. There was this band, they're locals, that I'd heard of and they were walking around promoting shit. Thats the way ti tshould be, so many eople bitch because their band isn't going anywhere, its because they won't play shows or do any promotion. Sheesh. But, they gave me a flier from and older show. One they'd played with Fed*Up. It was pretty damn cool.
Kay, so. We were waiting in line and we hadn't bought our tickets before hand, we were just going to get them at the door. Someone said they were only selling so many so I started [silently] freaking out because I reallly wanted in. Well, the groupd of people in front of us all had tickets so I wasn't worried about them. But there was this one kid running around who had the receipt for his ticket but he didn't have the ticket. I think he ended up getting in but I felt bad for him. Anyway, we got to the door and theres this yellow sign that says they were sold out. So, were standing in the doorway, the next people in line and I'm all freaking out. And Jere [from Mest] came out the side door. So, then I really started to freak out. I'd been looking forward to this show forever. We walk up and ask they guy if they're all sold out and he says they are. But, then he asked us how many of us their were. We said 4, so he marked our hands and let us in. We paid him the $12 to get in. We didn't even have a ticket, but I don't know who that guy was, but hes my best fucking friend.
So, we got in before alot of people so we went over to the left side of the stage and were standing in back of everyone just talking. The drummer from FallOut boy was standing beside me but he was talking to some girl so I didn't say anything. Kind fo regret that now, but oh well. Anyways, it took forever to get everyone in and for everything to start but thats okay because they were playing music over the speakers and it was all mostly Count The Stars so, yes. I was enjoying that.
Well, Dynamite Boy was first. I'd only heard a few of their songs before but they were fucking awesome. They're a great live band. And since the bar that we were at was so small, when the guitarist leaned out he was like right over my head. But, I told myself that one of the first 10 words said on stage would be "fuckers" and I was right. xD The lead singer, damnit for not knowing names, was like "Whats up you fuckers?" Yeah, I was amused. So, they started and this little girl came dancing through everyone and I grabbed ahold of her arm and Kayla ahold me me and we pulled our way through ALOT of people and were about second row then. Taylor was up there too, but behind Kayla. So, we were all rocking out to Dynamite Boy because hello. They were rad. And everyone started pushing and shit so I got pushed back a little. But, there was this boy in front of me. He was so cute and he was hilarious. He was like "I'M TOUCHING ASSES THAT I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH!" And oh man, he was great. Anyways, him and his friends were all in front of me but I didn't care because I could see and I could definatly hear, lol.
After Dynamite Boy was Matchbook Romance. The between time seemed forever long but it wasn't so bad. Everyone moved around and there was room to breathe. I talked to this girl beside me, she was really cool. And then, this guy tapped Kayla and he asked her to get his friend and so, I let him in front of me because I thought he could make it all the way to the front but he couldn't. So, he was like a fucking giant and I'm like 5'2" so, that sucked. Anyways, Matchbook started and I got pushed to the right some so he wasn't in front of me the whole time. But Matchbook fucking owns live. I'm not even kidding, if you get a chance to see them, fucking do it. They played The Greatest Fall and everyone knows the words to that so it was really loud during that song. But, their set was awesome. Their guitarist had the coolest fucking shirt. It said "FallOut Boy is for LOVERS!" Yeah. It was cool. But, they were really really awesome. I had my hoodie on and was in the middle of everyone and it was so hot. The giant kid gave me water though, so I was alright. And if you lean your head back and take a breathe, its all good. After Matchbook was done, we went to find Kayla's Mommy, since she came in with us. We bought some water and I went back to the Merch table.
Wellll, to my surpirise Jere was sitting there. I had my Vegan thingy so I had him sign it so I talked to him for a little bit. He was fucking nice as hell dude. I took a bunch of free animal rights stickers and stuff. After that, we decided to stay up in the little bar part for FallOut Boy because we were so hot. So, we found a place to stand and the view was awesome. And we could hear better up there too. So, we were standing in front of this table and I was talking to the girl who was sitting there. Well, Jere was still signing stuff so Taylor went and got him to sign something for Jess for me. It says "To Jessica <3 Jeremiah" I was like YAY. And then Taylor took this Mest sticker he bought and since it was white, he had sign sign it for Theresa. He spelled her name wrong sot its all scribbled on but it says "To Theresa <3 Jeremiah". So, we went back to our spots and FallOut Boy came out.
They were awesome. They interacted with the kids alot. But they were fucking rad too. They played Grand Theft Autumn and that'd been stuck in my head all night so I was estatic when they played it. But they were really really good. Patricks vocals are amazing like whoa. Well, after FallOut Boy was done Taylor went and bought us all drinks. He went back tot he merch table with Kayla to get stickers and pins. I didn't want to stand by myself so I started to walk towards the merch table, so I was weaving in and out of people and them I SLAMMED into someone. I looked up and right into the eyeliner, bright blue eyes of Tony Lovato.
Me: Whoa. Sorry!
Tony: Its okay, don't worry about it. Its crowded up here.
Me: *nods*
And then he walked in front of me. I didn't realize til later that Matt was behind me. But, anyways. Tony walked by Taylor and Taylor stopped him and had him sign the sticker that Jere had signed for Theresa. And Tony, he won't sign the Vegan things which is cool so had him sign this blue flier I hadin my pocket. I wanted to get one for Jess but I couldn't. :o( Anyways, after that I was standing at the merch table and Kaylwas on her cell phone talking to Sammie. And I was talking to the really cool merch kids.
Merch Kid 1: Hi! How are you?
Me: HI! I'm great, how are you?
Merch Kid 1: Pretty damn good.
After that, Iwas talking to Sam on Kayla's phone. She didn't know we were there and she was like WHY THE HELL IS IT SO LOUD! WHERE ARE YOU!? Lol, it was funny. Then Merch Kid 2 asked to talk on her phone so, Sammie was talking to Merch Kid 2. It was funny. Then I was talking to Merch Kid 1.
Merch Kid 1: I'm from Matchbook Romance and hes from FallOut Boy
Me: Oh yeah? *playing along* You wanna sign something?
Merch Kid 1: Nah. *laughs*
So, after that I was standing there trying to dig my fucking money out of my picket cause I wanted to buy a cd but it was buried under a bunch of stickers and Tony's autograph. And all of the sudden someone was talking to me. It was Pete from FallOut Boy.
Pete: Hey.
Me: Hey, you guys were awesome.
Pete: Thanks!
Me: Sure.
Pete: Ya know, if he won't sign anything I will.
Me: OH! *laughs* Okay.
So, I gave him my little notebook and he signed it. I said thanks and I promised the Merch Kids I'd come back and buy something once I found my stupid money. So, we went back to where we were standing and waiting on Mest to start. I finally sat down on this bench thing bext to some girl and Kayla was leaning aginst it. Taylor was standing though. It took forever for Mest to start and we ended up loosing out spots so we moved to the left and I was standing and I could see perfectly. Kayla was sitting on a table and Taylor was standing beside her. Mest was really awesome. Tony is so crazy. He was sick and had slept until like 9:00 that night and they started about 10:30. They played alot of older stuff but alot alot of newwer stuff.
Tony: We wrote a new song while we were in Japan.
Jere: Yeah, you fuckers wanna hear it?
Tony: I think they deserve it more than Japan.
Jere: Okay.
So, we were all thinking okay, cool. New song. It started all soft and pretty and then Tony started singing and everyone started laughing.

And it went on like that for about 5 minutes. It was really entertaining. They played Hotel Room. YAY. And Drawing Board, Fuct Up Kid, and Opinions. They were realyl awesome, Tony had this echo thingy going on and it was really cool. Their lighting was awesome, all the strobe lights and shit. We left before their last song to beat traffic but it was fine, I was tired and sore and sweaty and gross so we left. It felt so good outside, it was like spring for us. And the seat in the car were leather so they were realyl cold but it felt so good.
After that we went to a gas station and got stuff to drink/eat. I bought a mountain dew, bottled water and SKITTLES. Taylor got a shitloud of candy and ate it all in the car. The ride home was cool, we just talked about everything. It was awesome. Kayla decided to just come home with me instead of me going with her. So, we came home and hung out in my room for awhile and then watched TV. We went to bed around 3am.
I woke up this morning at 8:30am and talked to my Mom and Kayla got up about 9:45am. Now were sitting here, beacuse it fun. Last night was definately fucking awesome. One of the best nights ever.
