Wow, so I didn't really know how much Mundo meant to me until I went back to visit this weekend...Saturday, I drove up the mountain for the first time this summer, it was really weird to come back and not be working there...so I got to meet Melinda's unit (oh yeah, she's the unit 2 leader), let me tell you, that is a rockin unit, they're gonna have alot of fun...so Melinda, Nikki, Charrisa, Kristen and I all went to the Wendover Wal-mart to meet up with Mel's mom and sister, then we all had dinner at TGI Friday's...let me tell you, we had dinner and a show, our waiter was, whoa, gorgeous...Nikki's quote for the night, "I wanna grab his buns!"...hahahahaha...so then we went Four Seasons and shopped around for only 15 mins cuz the mall was closing...then we went back to camp and I got to talk to Suzzane for a bit...it was a good talk, maybe something good will come out of it...so then we all went to the Cent. Building for some extreme worship (glowsticks, lights off, guitar...Spirit-led...AWESOME!!!) but it got cut short cuz I had to leave at 11pm...we all said goodbye and that's when my tears cut on and they didn't cut off until I was too tired to cry...so I made the long lonely drive back to Boone, and when I got home I saw that my cell phone had cut itself off (it does that sometimes when it's charging)...so I turned it back on and found that I had a message...it was from Roxy, one of the girls in Mel's unit...that message totally blessed me (and started the tears again)...

It was so hard to drive back to Boone...I still don't understand why I'm not there...if God's got something bigger, I need to know cuz I'm really confused right now, but I have to say that last night was one of the best nights I've ever had on that mountain!

Well today I was supposed to go to Chattanooga for the TBG concert with Emily, but she just got some really bad news, so we changed plans and are staying here tonight...she wanted me to go ahead and go to the show anyway, but it wouldn't be fun by myself, plus it's not safe anyway, oh yeah and I have to drive home to Spartanburg tomorrow and if I go to the show, I won't get back to Boone until like 4am and that wouldn't be cool...so I'll be here tonight, but maybe I can catch the show in Nashville on Friday...that would be cool!

So this is the shout out time of my journal: to my Mundo girls, you rock my world hardcore!!! I'll send you my journal soon, along with some cool snail-mail...to my new roomie, Laura, thanks for praying girl, you're awesome!...to my little bro, I'll see ya Tuesday, and then we get a whole week at the beach!

Ok, I guess I'll end this entry.

5:49 pm - Jury duty and Bama girls...
Wow, I haven't updated in over a week...so much has happend. Well Jada, Tasha, and Silver (the Bama girls) came up for the week and man did we have a rockin time! I already wrote about Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I guess I'll start from there:

Monday - didn't do alot in Boone cuz I had to drive to Spartanburg for jury duty...hung out with the fam and went to Starbucks for some coffee.

Tuesday - well i got up at 7am so that I could be at the courthouse at 8:30...drove to the courthouse and waited in line to go through the metal detector...of course my piercings and belt set if off, so they had to get the wand thing out...waited in the courtroom for about two hours...first four cases came up at 10am and my number wasn't called for any of them so I got to leave...had a quick lunch with mom at Sandela's...yummy!...then went back to the courtroom at 1pm for more cases...only one case this time and my number wasn't called again so I got to leave again...walked around downtown for a little bit, then went back to the courtroom at 3...no cases this time so everybody got to leave...went home to meet up with the fam, then went to eat mexican with mom and Seth...then Seth and I drove to G-ville to go shop at Hot Topic...I finally got new earrings so I can gauge up to a 10 now...came back and chilled at the house...

Wednesday - woke up at 7 again...drove to the courthouse again...went through the metal detector and set it off again...then we waited for the cases...my number didn't come up at the 9am time so I got to leave...went to the mall and walked around for a while...went to Christian Supply and bought the Smash-Ups cd (awesome!) and the Lucerin Blue cd (rocks my socks off!)...then went to Starbucks and waited for mom to call me so we could go get lunch...ate lunch at the pizza place beside the former Java Jive (I miss you my little cute coffeehouse!)...went back to the courtroom at 1...my number got called for the case...but they took one look at me and said, "PLEASE excuse the juror!"...I was like, "YES!!!"...so I got to leave...grabbed a coke and went to my car to listen to my new cd's...came back to the courtroom for one final case...my number got called again and again they didn't want me...so I got to leave for good that time...left Spartanburg and drove back to Boone...ate dinner with Mel cuz she was in town...hung out for the rest of the night

Thursday - Mel left early to go back to G-boro...bummed around the house waiting for Kat and the Bama girls to get back in town...had dinner with Kat, Emily and the Bama girls over at Em's house...Ci-Ci's pizza, it was good...after dinner Em, Jada, and I went to Jimmy's Java for some quality coffee time...Kat called and wanted us to get a movie and come watch it at her house...went to Blockbuster and got Rat Race, Monsters Inc. and Flight of the Navigator (old-school Disney!)...went over to Kat's and watched Rat Race...finished the movie and was going to watch Flight of the Navigator when it turned out to be "Pam's 28th Birthday"...apparently Blockbuster didn't check to see if the right movie was in there...watched Monsters Inc. instead...fell asleep on the recliner...

Friday - woke up about 8:30am and went back to my place to get some real sleep...sleep til about noon...bummed around the house...ate dinner at Amber's with the Bama girls...then we all went to my house with intentions of playing Cranium...we ended up just sitting in my room and talking for about 3 hours...

Satuday - woke up at 8 so that I could meet the Bama girls for breakfast...breakfast at Daniel Boone Inn (yummy!)...then Jada, Tasha, and Silver left to go back to Alabama...took the movies back to Blockbuster and got a refund for "Pam's 28th Birthday"...went back to the house to take a nap...Kat came over to watch Mystery Science Theater and fell asleep...dinner from Phan's (very yummy!!!)...over to Jimmy's for some coffee time...

Sunday - CHURCH!!! (rocked my socks off!)...lunch at China House Buffet (very, very yummy!)...nap...Beth came over...watched movies...painted...talked...watched more movies...had a sleep over...haha, that's like middle school...

Today - Beth left early...been bummin around the house...did my laundry...now I'm gonna go snag some dinner and I'll probably end up at Jimmy's tonight

So it's been a fun-filled action packed week...six days til TBG at Fathom!!!

12:00 am - Totally pooped!!!
Yay!!! So Jada came up this weekend with her sister and Silver and they are staying for a week! So what have I been doing all weekend, well...

Friday, Jada came up and we drove to G-boro for the Disciple/East West/Lucerin Blue concert...let me just say that it rocked my socks off. Disciple is such an awesome band with a HUGE heart of worship...East West can make the crowd jump...and Lucerin Blue, well you gotta love Canadians, but they rock too!! So Mel, Chris Hamblen and Kristen all came to the concert too and that was awesome cuz I haven't seen them in a few weeks. The mosh pit was fun, but I was really sore the next day...big tip, warm up your muscles before you mosh and remember to drink lots and lots of water...dehydration sucks! So after the concert we stayed over at Mel's house.

Saturday morning, we got up at 6:30 so that we could be on the road by 8...why, because Emily was graduating from high school and we just couldn't miss that...plus Em had no idea that Jada was in town, so we were going to surprise her...boy was she surprised, I think she could've done cart wheels she was so excited. So about noon I had to leave the party cuz I was really tired...came home and messed around on the computer for about an hour or 2 and then took a nap that lasted a little longer than I thought it would...in fact I didn't wake up until about 8 pm...so I got up and ate some dinner and then about 11 pm Heather Kirby came over to listen to some cd's...we decided around 2 that it would be fun to go to Huddle House, so we went and had some breakfast, which didn't agree with us when we woke up the next morning, but it was fun anyway. So then we came back to the house and talked until about 5:30 in the morning...

So needless to say, I didn't wake up for church this morning, but it's all cool cuz me and Jesus had a great time by ourselves...I think I woke up around 1 pm...did some TaeBo so I was active today...went to the movies with Heather Kirby, we saw "How to lose a guy in 10 days" cuz it was at the $1.50 movie theater and we were low on the dough...then went to Jimmy's Java and hung out with Kat, Jada, Silver, Tasha, and Emily til about 11...now I'm going to bed cuz tomorrow I have to get up and drive home to lovely Sparkle City cuz I have jury duty on Tuesday...haha, I think I'm gonna roll up in there with like my camo's and my kindergarten shirt, spikey hair, nose ring...would you pick me for jury duty...hahahahaha!!!

11:45 pm - The end of TBG as we know it...
Man I got some heart-crushing news today...as of November 2, The Benjamin Gate will no longer be a band. The main reason for this is that Adie is marrying Jeremy Camp in December. I know that the Lord has a reason for this a big plans for all of the members of the band (PLEASE make Costa be my husband...j/k), but at the same time I'm really sad cuz they're cool people and I'm really gonna miss them alot! But anyway...I get to see them pretty soon for the last time, so maybe we'll be able to keep in touch.

11:50 pm - Pooped!
Man, I am totally pooped...went to Concord Mills mall today with Kat...why she wanted to drive all the way down there is beyond me, but anyway, I went to Hot Topic while she did the "grown-up people" shopping...found two pair of pants that normally would run $100 total but I got both on sale for $50 total...I was so stinkin excited!!! Then I found Kat still trying to find a dress suit for work...it had to be from like a certain store and be a certain color or her company wouldn't buy it...we must have looked for like 2 hours before she found even a shirt that would be ok...but anywho...Mel called me tonight to tell me how camp stuff is going and right now it's not sounding all that great...Lord please make it all work out...man I'm tired...

5:38 pm - Wow...a productive two days!
So yesterday I was so motivated...me and Melinda got up and did TaeBo...YES I DID TAEBO...and then we went to the Stu U. and worked for about 3 and 1/2 hours and got payed too...then me and Mel had dinner at Macado's and then I played some nintendo, yeah I'm talkin like old school nintendo with Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt...woohoo...then I went over to Jimmy's Java to get my coffee fix for the day and had some really good Jesus time...then I came back home and for some odd reason created a TBG community in Blurty, so join my community!!!

Well, today I got up and cleaned my room...now I know alot of you are thinking, "That's not all that bad," well you've never seen my room...because of the hectic time of exams I had let my room get beyond the point of messy and to the point of chaos...so it probably took me a good three hours to finish it...I even cleaned out my closet...found some stuff I can sell on ebay!!...and I can see my floor again!

So I think for the rest of tonight me and Mel are doing dinner and I'll probably end up at Jimmy's again.

Join my community!!!!!!!!!! It's the coolest community out there!!!!!!!

11:24 pm - I desire
Scratch just a little bit harder
and I might give in to you
Sometimes I think
you're easier that what's right

You're so beautiful
with your tempting ways
Why do I want to think
you are the right way to go

You stare at me with eyes
that pierce straight to my desires
You force me to want you
more and more

I make myself think that it's ok
you enter my dreams and take control
and the sad thing is
I enjoy every minute of it

Shame on me
I let you take control
I want my life back
that is what I desire

7:13 pm - A word from the LORD!!!
Why do we have to judge everyone on their apperance? I mean the LORD doesn't judge us on how we look so if GOD doesn't then why should we? We live in a world where your appearance is everything and I should know. At first glance, people would probably classify me as a punk and keep walking...they wouldn't even take the time to get to know me and find out things such as I've been playing classical violin for almost 11 years now or the fact that I love Jesus more than anything in my life. This is all because of appearance.

Let's look at the WORD: "The LORD doesn't make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at a person's thoughts and intentions." 1 Sam 16:7 See, GOD looks at your heart, if your intetions are good, HE is pleased. Let's take me for example...I have both ears pierced (and in the process of gauging), a gauged cart, and a nose ring. I also have very spikey hair, so spikey that if you hug me, you might get hurt, and I dress a little on the punky side. Now, some of you may think, "Man, she's a freak!" but the LORD is so proud of me. With my appearance, I can witness to people that the "typical" Christian can't. Think about it...a clean-cut Christian walks up to a punk with intentions of spreading the WORD. Because of appearances, the punk will take one look and say, "Get lost you preppy!" (of course, this may not happen everytime) Now put a punk Christian in the picture...the other punk will feel accepted and be more open to what the Christian is saying.

So let's try the subject of tattoos and piercings. Again I'll refer to the passage in 1 Sam...the LORD looks at our intentions. With most Christians that I have talked to, their intentions for piercings and tattoos were as witnessing tools to reach more sub-cultures. Remember we do everything for the GLORY of the ALMIGHTY. The LORD has given me a heart for the outcasts. As Paul said in Galatians, "Obviously, I"m not trying to be a people pleaser! No. I am trying to please God. If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant." The LORD didn't call me to dress in the latest fashions or spend big bucks on name brands, and I'm happy with that because I am in the LORD's will and there's no better place to be!

4:46 pm - Fun times at home!
Wow, it's been a great time so far at home...yesterday me and mom had lunch at Longhorn and got the "so-good-makes-you-wanna-smack-ya-mama" fried cheesecake!!! Then we went to Christian Supply and I got a Joy Electric cd and a Slow Day Coming cd...awesome, awesome! Finally put my Seventh Day Slumber sticker on Jigga. Met Seth and Fran at Monterey's for dinner...then I had to drive Fran home since Seth can't drive after 8. Came home and watched a little tv then went to bed.

Today...well this was a monumental day...I got up at 9:30, only because the youth were having a free car wash, so I took Jigga over to the church to get her clean. Then came back home and had leftovers for lunch and mom made me go through ALL, and I do mean ALL of my clothes...got rid of alot, but I found a few things that I can sell on Ebay so that's cool. Well tonight we are going to one of my cousin's house for a family get together, and we are actually supposed to leave in a few so I'll have to end this entry.

5:41 pm - What to do...what to do...
So my exams are finally over with. Now it's off to the wonderful world of job hunting. Man, I really don't want to have to get a job, simply because I've got all these trips planned for the summer and I don't know of anybody that's going to hire me and give me alot of time off...it's like, "Hey, I'm gonna need this week off and this weekend and this weekend...in fact I'm gonna need all my weekends off." Yeah, who's gonna hire me. UGH!!!

So anyway, I'm having another piercing party tomorrow...it seems like everytime I'm done with exams I get something pierced...but this time it's not extreme, I'm just getting my cartilage pierced...but Kat's going with me and she's getting her belly button done. I'm excited!

Well, my summer has officially started and I'm bored to tears...Mel's leaving on the 15th, Steph's leaving tomorrow morning, and most everybody else has already left...I can't believe that summer's already here. Well I'm going home on Friday cuz it's Mom's Day, so maybe I'll find something to do at home. Gonna get some quality time with the bro! Always fun!

So anyway, I'm here all summer...if anyone is in the Boone area and wants to hang out or needs a place to crash, hit me up...828-265-4077.

Peace out homie yo's,
