I met a Rachel I'm happy to have knew
A Rachel who will always be a LOTR freak
A Rachel with more hairstyles than days of the week

A Rachel who watches Lurch and Hugo with drool
A Rachel who will never get perfect attendance in school
A Rachel with grammar that surpasses us all
A Rachel who has a weird obsession with Darth Maul

A Rachel I called "Blondie" to much of her delight
A Rachel who was nice enough to be my date on Ring Dance night
A Rachel I met with a tissue the day of the Towers' fall
A world without Rachel wouldn't be much of a world at all

As this birthday poem for A Rachel comes to an end
I hope I'll always have A Rachel for a friend
