hey...i know its thursday, considered to be somewhat near the weekend but I would like to share what happenedn to me last saturday and sunday. Its because its only now that I had the time and chance to write something here.
Anyway last Saturday, we had the Dean' s talk in my school. Duh what would you expect. Of course it was boring. I mean yeah sure the presentations were cool and everything but what would you expect when all of us were roused early in the morning just to listen to a bunch of old people talk. Still it was enlightening. You get to see the transition within every year, of how many freshmen dont make it to become sophies
After that my friends and I decided to watch the movie The Notebook. But here' s the fun part. I fetched my buddy from Sulu hotel!!! Yeay...she' s from Stanford University and she' s going to stay here for 19 days. It was fun really, I mean how many times do you get to meet new people from different countries?
So we went to Galleria and ate Japanese food for lunch. Then we went to the movie stands and bought tickets for the film. The movie was great, I mean though it was on the mushy side we were really touched by what happened in the end. A lot of the watchers cried, even my friends...but for me it had no effect..=)
After which we went shopping. I cant believe we went to all those shops. My feet were aching after it. So we went home and my buddy slept here. It was so funny coz she was so amazed with the rambutan fruit. Well I guess it would look pretty strange to a person who dooesn' t come in contact with it in a day to day basis. But she was so cute. She even photographed it so she could show her friends back home that she ate something like that
The next day we went to greenhills. Boy was she shocked. She couldn' t believe that she could buy stuff for a fraction of what they really cost in the malls and that there are a lot of stalls to choose from. It was so funny cause all the people were starring at her cause she was blond hair and had blue eyes. But in a way you could really see the discrimination of our fellow Filipinos on their fellowmen. I mean they give more attention to the foreigners that their own race
But it was fun. We got to bond at we got to know each other more. But I have to face the fact that in the coming days reality is going to show its face bringing with her the responsibilities a college student has to face. Still that weekend helped me in a way that I feel that I could do anything because it cleared my head nad made me relax. I just hope that i could do it again
