We've got our last dual meet tonight. If we loose, I'll wait to get my greatest journal until Lahser wins a meet. Lahser's pretty good, so I won't have to wait that long. But I really hope we win tonight! I'm personally very nervous. This meet could decide for me if I go to A or B finals. I HAVE to do well in my freestyle. I'm not the best, but I thik I'm ranked fastest in the exhibition (though barley (Zo's about 0.4 behind me)) and since Erika and Lindsey won't be going to either final, I may actually have a chance. Now I'm just rambling, so I'll end. Later Dayz!

I found this in a blog on a site, and thought it was pretty intresting. The mistake in question was never retracted, to the extent of my knowledge, so she (JKR) could just be bluffing. Please read the following and tell me your views in a comment. (even thought I never get any):
Whenever I submit this theory, people love to criticize it. Well let me remind you that this is not what I think is actually going to happen. Maybe pieces of it, but not the whole thing. Its just a fun read.

There may be some spoilers to some.

Basically, we are talking about time travel, as seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban, when Harry and Hermione are able to travel back over three hours to rescue Buckbeak and free Sirius.
It has long been speculated that someone else was present at Godric's Hollow on Halloween when James and Lily were killed. The favorites have always been Dumbledore or Snape.
But could it be that, in the same way that Harry2 and Hermione2 were present to see Harry and Hermione go into the Shrieking Shack, Teenage!Harry was there and actually saw his parents die.
And, going one further, that he intervened in the Avada Kedavra curse that was meant to kill Baby!Harry and so saved his own life so he could grow up to kill Voldemort in turn.
And that this is the reason that no-one will tell him anything, because they are frightened that if they do events won't unfold in the right way and he won't be there the on the second (First? How confusing time travel is.) occasion.
This could also be the reason that when Snape wants to get at Harry, he always says: "You're nothing special". Because there really was nothing at all unusual about Baby!Harry that allowed him to resist the Avada Kedavra curse, it was outside intervention, albeit by his future self.
People have skirted round this by saying they thought someone else was present. But I can't recall anyone actually mentioning Harry as the candidate.
It seems obvious that Harry will come face to face with his parents at some point. Unless my memory is defective, he has done this in four of the five books so far, the exception being Chamber of Secrets, which is slightly off-beam in many ways. In fact, if you included the photo album that Hagrid gives Harry, you could probably say he probably comes 'face to face' with his parents in all five books.
Otherwise it's as follows:
Philosopher's Stone - Mirror of Erised;
Prisoner of Azkaban - Azkaban - Hearing their voices, and Harry thinks he sees James tackling the dementors for him when it is in fact himself;
Goblet of Fire - Priori Incantatem;
Order of the Phoenix - The Pensieve.
Each time it gets a little more real and it does seem logical that eventually he will do it face to face.
Just read over that again. In Prisoner of Azkaban Harry thinks he sees James tackling the dementors for him when it is in fact himself he sees.
Is the person who Harry hears when the Dementors are near him, shouting to Lily that Voldemort is here and he will try to hold him off, himself?
It would also explain why everyone has such a fixation with Harry's similarity to James. I feel sure 'his mother's eyes' are highly significant here. If this happens in book seven, Harry will be 18 going on 19 and James was only about 21 when he died. So then they will be close in age as well as incredibly alike physically and in appearance.
Have we got this eye thing completely wrong? We assume Harry has inherited some kind of power from Lily, represented in the green eyes. But are 'his mother's eyes' important because they are the thing that allows Lily to tell her grown-up son from her husband at some crucial moment?
Remember this (rough from memory) quote from the Pensieve scene: "It was like looking at himself with deliberate mistakes... he could tell that they would have been within an inch of each other in height." Why is JKR still ramming this point home?
And, is there some significance to the stag patronus?
Isn't it funny that Harry, around 15 months old at the time of his parents' death, can remember so much about it? My memory is very good and I've got a few flashbacks to being a baby/toddler, but not much. And certainly not very detailed like his.
Obviously this is a major event and taking place in the magical not the mundane world, but still I wonder.
Here's a quote from the 'puzzles and mysteries' (which is no longer on the website) section of Harry Potter Lexicon website:
"When Harry was telling Lupin about the voices he'd heard, Remus reacted in surprise when Harry said he heard his dad. Why? Does Remus know something that he's not telling about that event? Does he know, for example, that James wasn't really there?
After all, Harry has never heard his father's voice, so he doesn't really know that he's hearing James, he just assumes it. In the film, in a scene which JKR made clear that she personally added, we never see James, just Lily. So was someone else present, someone else whose voice Harry hears and mistakes for that of his father? And then where was James and how did he die?"
Seems obvious when you read that, doesn't it?
Steve Vander Ark, compiler of most of the website, has always believed right from the beginning that there is some kind of problem with time in the series, that things don't quite work out as they should time-wise. Remember, he has sat down and compiled all the time lines.
This would also give us a new perspective on the 'wand order problem' which is in the Priori Incantatem chapter in Goblet of Fire. First editions had James coming out of the wand before Lily. We are told he was killed first, and the spells are recreating in reverse order. So if James died first, he should have appeared second.
This was amended in subsequent editions and JKR admitted it was a mistake. We also now know that she was under a great deal of pressure at the time to meet the publishers' deadline for that book.
All well and good, but did she make the mistake because she knows the events of that night are different to the way they have been presented so far, and so said more than she meant to? Fans have always been fascinated by this slip-up and insisted on continuing to consider it significant, despite getting this explanation direct from the horse's mouth.
The quote brings us back to the question of who knows, should this be true. Dumbledore is a racing certainty and I suspect Snape knows too.
I thinks that one reason Snape hates Harry so much is that he (Snape, that is) didn't exactly cover himself with glory that night, and he lives in fear of Harry finding out.
From the quote above, it seems likely Lupin knew. Did Sirius? He certainly colluded in the scheme to keep Harry in the dark as far as possible. But then again he did take straight off after Pettigrew then spend 12 years in Azkaban, and therefore may be somewhat out of the loop on the key events of that night.
There is also the issue of the 'missing 24 hours' between Hagrid taking Harry from the ruins of Godric's Hollow and turning up in Privet Drive. He has met several people on the way - Sirius Black, Minerva McGonagall. Is Teenage!Harry somehow involved?
I think the challenge faced by Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville may be to master time travel in the way that the Marauders once mastered the Animagus transformation. The way things are looking at the moment, it will be Ron, not Neville that needs "all the help he can get", in the way Pettigrew once did.
I should say that I think James Potter is well and truly dead. He's not swigging Polyjuice potion to become Remus Lupin, or Trevor the Toad, or anyone else. He and Lily were killed that night, JKR has confirmed this. This is not a way of resurrecting the pair of them.
To round off, let's consider the prophecy and the Ministry of Magic. The prophecy mentions "a power the Dark Lord knows not." I had been flirting with that being Occlumency/Legilmency.
Let's say the power Harry has that the Dark Lord knows not is time travel. And that's the thing that's behind that locked door in the Department of Mysteries because it's too powerful to be let out.

“You’ll never guess what my brother Bill sent me,” Ginny announced as she collapsed at the table beside Draco.
“A feather-covered vibrator?” Draco suggested with an implying smirk.
“Eww, God Draco! Do you only think about sex and all that?”

“My brother and Harry don’t just think about sex.”
“Sure they do, just with each other is all,” Draco smirked.

How about.....The Book of the Spells and Potions that the Ministry of Magic Doesn’t Want You to Get a Hold Of, also titled What Book? This Book? Never Seen It Before!”
“Are you serious?” Draco questioned. “That’s an actual book? And Hogwarts bought it? Who was stupid enough to write that?”
“It was in the Restricted Section, but I’m sure the Ministry knows it exists. It was written by Ima Knottherre.”
“Wow, I don’t know which is worse, the title of the book or the author’s pen name,” Draco said while laughing.
“I don’t know,” Ginny said joining in the laughter. “But then, what type of a pen name is Squeaks?”

“I dunno,” Ginny replied.

Surf has not yet won a meet, I am sad to say. Got our asses kicked by Heart and we did better than expected agains Cranbrook, but still got killed. Mr. A didn't come last night! *sniff* But we watched a very, very very funnay muvie. 'The New Guy'. I was amused.
GUESS WHAT! Ok, Meg called me yesterday and I got the message from my dad. I called her back today and she asked me if I would be intrested in joining the Gators. Me? Soccer? Together. Somewhat. You see, they are one person short of a full team, so they need a ghost player. That's where I come in. I'll be a registered member of the team and will appear on the roster, but I'll always be 'busy' for games and tournemates. I still find it amusing that I'm a registered Gator. Who would have thought? They did pick me because they knew I was a swimmer and would never consider playing club soccer.

Well, Surf lost Thursday, bad, to Heart! Kind of humiliating. I'm glad I wasn't at practice yesterday. Today, Matt decided we all needed training for finals, so we were tortured. My back kills! Ugh. I came home and wrote a new chapter for Payback! Here's the link:

My visit to surf today was intresting indeed. Erika and I got there and we were laying out, reading and sleeping, which was cool! Then we went over and got ice cream and two of my brother's friends, Andrew and Adam, were sitting on the other side of the pavilion. They said hi but that was about it. Then Andrew comes over to throw something away in the trash can and 'drops' it right infront of our table. He bends down to pick it up while wiggling his little tush in the air. Erika and I cracked up.
He walked back and we're still laughing and we hear Andrew say "Oh ya! The Wizard!" Erika says "Ya, i get that a lot." and we just keep eating.
We got up to get drinks and and Andrew says "Oh no! They're leaving!" so we turn around and tell him we're just going to the pop machine. So what do they do? They sit next to where we will when we go back to sit down. So, what the heck, we'll sit next to them. Andrew and me on one side of the tabel, Adam and Erika on the other side of the table. First thing they ask us is if we have boyfriends.
Erika: "Yes."
Andrew: "Dang."
Me: "Uhhhhhhh...."
Erika: "That means yes. He asked you out last night."
Me: "Really?"
Erika: "Yes." But it was that sort of yes where you don't believe them anyway. Oh well. So they suck up to us by telling us we did a good job in the play, yada yada yada. Then I say something about my brother and Andrew asks me who my brother is.
Me: "Kevin."
Andrew: "Kevin Stevens?"
Me: "Ya."
Andrew: "You can't be related to him! You're hott!"
My thoughts: "Wow, my brother's friend is sitting next to me, stuck his butt in the air and just told me I was hott. What is wrong with me?
Adam: "He said you had big boobs and a good butt."
My thoughts: "Ooooooook. Did not want to know that. What kind of friends does my brother have anyway?"
We played Marco Polo with them for a while, but then Matt, Mark Reedy, Michael, and Jason came, so we could easily ignore them. Intresting conversation with Mark;
Me: Where's Jason?
Mark: In the locker room changing. Why? Do you like him?
Me: No, do you want me to like him or something?
Mark: I dunno. It'd be cool, I guess.
I should like Jason? Ok, that's an intresting thought. Why I should like Jason, besides that it would be 'cool' I still don't know. Oh well. After Erika left I made a whirlpool with the guys and the little guys. Then Mark, Michael, Jason, Matt and i went and sat on the backboard turf. Me and matt talked for a while before my mom showed up and told me she had been looking for me. Oh joy, time to leave. On the way out I saw Spendel and he told me that his party might be cancled. Dang, I already got him a present! Oh well. I'll give it to him anyway. Well, my grandparents (Stevens side) should be here soon. Later Dayz!

I finished my blue scarf! I'm wearing it right now, actually. Now I'm doing one that's light blue, blue, light pruple, purple. It'll be about five feet long, if I have enough light blue. I'd like to appologize to Ben, TJ, and Al. We waited for you as long as we could and we really didn't know it was going to be sold out, or we would have bought you tickets. Granted, if we were going to buy you tickets, it would have been nice if you showed up a little earlier. Sorry again. Later Dayz!

Well, we got our butts royally kicked at the meet yesterday. I think it was about 325 to 100. But that was expected, it was FH. Shorty was there, though. That was awesome. She hung out with us but her suit was bugging us (it had a pig on it) so we made her but clothes on over. We miracuoiuslly didn't get a rain delay. My mom was cool and let me have the after-movie-party thing. Only we took so long with the ice cream and my mom scoring so that Erika got there before us and Zo got there as we were pulling in. I don't think any of us actually watched the movie, it was just nice backround noise. After Erika and Zo left, I got my camera out and was taking pictures of everyone, only to find out that Spencer's afarid of cameras. Katie and Em left next, leaving me with the guys. Well, Spencer was more of a blanket blob, and me and Evan talked. After they left I feel asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. I was dreaming about school, I think when my alarm went off. Matt decided to make a lot of human ice cubes by having us get out after every 50 sprint and freeze. Jaqulin, Kendra, and Christina looked like they were going to die. Well, I'm home and starting my next scarf. This one's shades of blue. You are all jealous of my rainbow one. hehe Later Dayz!

GO PISTONS!
I think Matt and Joel had a little too much to drink after the game. Annie asked me if they were wasted, and I told her I didn't think so, but she still thinks they had hangovers. That might explain practice today, and that he didn't come to the 5 am one. Well, it's all good here. No hard practice. We only swam 1000 total, plus the crap in the diving well. Meet on Thursday (ha! Tomorrow) is against the Hogs, so I won't be getting a new journal this week. Well, nothing left to say. Wait, yes I do! If any of you have Kristen Dittus, Annie, or CC's screen names, can i please have them? Thanks.

I am so tired! I figuered it out and we swam 2.8125 miles this morning. For anyone out there who doesn't swim, imagine walking that far in two hours with almost no breaks mostly using your ARMS! Yes, swimming involves mostly arm strength, especially for me, sinc I don't believe in kicking, except for in races. And my abbs were killing me from the fly. Erika, you wern't even giving me a chance to talk to Mr. A! So not cool. *scoff* Well, i got a CD carrier so now i can take more than 1 CD to the meet on Thursday. I probably wont' be getting my new journal soon, since it's agains Forest Hills, I think. Well, I'll keep updating here until we do. Later Dayz!
