I've decided to forgo How to be cool part 3 for the time being. So far I've only spoken about the perryfarrels of being cool, and I want to start getting to the core of what it means. And you can't very well bite your way through to the tootsie roll center...well, I guess you can but eventually it'll start damaging you teeth. Plus its much better to lick anyways...you can never practice that too much! So I'll come back to that. Anyways, yesterday I gave my first private lesson to another student. Man it was so exhilirating! I also got to instruct 6 young kids in their first form...now that was tough! One kid was just painfully zoned out. Another was a little menace. The worst kid was...well...I noticed some deep problems there. I don't think he should be in karate until he spends some years on the couch if you know what I mean...he is absolutely terrible. But I kept my cool and instructed the ones who wanted to learn, and didn't antagonize, (not too much anyway) the ones that didn't. But the private lesson I gave went great. He's 14 and very uncoordinated but hell, who am I to talk about uncoordination. I'm sure once the fire lights in his eyes, he will be a great martial artist, so long as he retains the willingness to learn. I am now a pretty kick ass Dark Knight in FF11. Business is good. Today I'm depositing over 21k so at least the money is still coming in. Oh and also, I attended my first advanced class. That was pretty awesome too. Its certainly more rigid, and disciplined...more intense than my class...Not to say harder because we work out hard, but there is less "down time" as there are less questions interrupting the flow of class and the ones that are asked are more contributing to the actual art, and help its endless evolution all while helping retain its classical roots. All I know is, I'm a lifer. Finally, I think about her a lot...I've a tough road a-ho fo sho. She doesn't know but she gives me such wings as to travel the solar system a thousand times all the while spouting war cries and victory whoops...Hmm..."and whoa whoa whoa, what a storm...we shelter, in our skin storm"
