I saw the Passion of the Christ yesterday. The only thing I could think of throughout the entire movie was, how could Christians, or people that claim to be Christians, be for the war, or any war for that matter? How could they be for the death penalty? I mean, most of the people who back our potus (president of the U.S.), are white, southern Christians...the bible belt as its often referred to as. What bible are they reading? I mean, Jesus was a cool guy. You know, he didn't half ass anything. He said to love one another...to love your enemies, because its easy to love those who love you...he said to turn the other cheek, and even as he was dying on the cross, he begged for forgiveness for those who put him there. I mean, thats some serious shit...some revolutionary thoughts in a time when blood ran so freely. Only things haven't changed much. Blood runs just as freely today as it did then. Why is it that I can see it so clearly, and the people who sit in their church on Sundays, and have a bible with their name written in it, don't? You can't just pick and choose what you like about what Jesus said...its all or nothing. Bush murders people, and they still back him. They say they think he's done a good job. There is a French saying that Hitler loved...that he would often repeat to his people, as they witnessed the acts he commited. Translated, it says, to make an omelette, you have to break some eggs. In other words, the ends justify the means. Those are human lives!!! Those are human lives!!! THOSE ARE HUMAN LIVES!!! Say it with me...THOSE ARE HUMAN LIVES!!! The same people that God created. The same people he said to love...not murder! It makes me sick. It all breaks down to that. Either you think that the lives of those countless innocents that have died under our bombs, with little funny slogans written on them, are a just sacrifice for the ends of our lying politicians, or you don't. I wish a Christian would step up and show me what it really means to be Christ like, because in my whole life, I've never seen it. I can't believe that I can see it, and they can't.
