I have anticipated the film version of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons because I enjoyed the book more than the Da Vinci Code. After three or four years (?), I could not recall the details of the book except that it is about the antimatter waiting to explode in the heart of the Vatican City.

It was another hit though DVC didn't get positive reviews when it was shown in 2006. I didn't expect much but so far it delivered a more action packed and interesting story line that keeps the audience at the edge of their seat.

Improvements:

Robert Langdon has a better haircut or shall I say toupe.
There were less storytelling and more action sequence like explosions, car chases, gun shots, etc.

Complaints:

As usual, changes in characterization and plots have to take place that offended those who have read the book.

I didn't really mind how the screenplay was changed. I like Ewan Mcgregor's approach as the Camerlengo. He was effective as the ambitious and scheming antagonist. He surely knows how to put on a show. I bet he has a pool of researchers and writers under him to come up with a plot that would make Dona Dionisia Pacquiao envious that she will throw another birthday party for herself.

Sometimes, it is better to go and see a movie to be entertained than over analyzing it. It simply spoils the fun. Go and watch Angels and Demons.
