I haven't updated in a few days basically because I've been lazy :)
Friday night I slept for 13 hours, that's right :) It felt good to be so rested. Um.. Cardinals lost the first game of the World Series on Saturday. Currently they're losing the second game of the World Series. gurrgh.
What I've basically been doing this weekend:

Went to Red Lobster tonight for dinner with the 'rents. Sara was supposed to be working but I didn't see her :( I saw another chick from school working there though.
I have play practice ALLLL week. 5:30-8pm every night (except Tuesday and Friday).
AH! Here's a GREAT quote from last week. Just so everyone understands this, Mrs. D is our play director, my advisor, my teacher, and hella awesome. Zach basically has the lead in the play.
Zach: "And with this, I die" *falls to floor*
Mrs. D: "Zach, I didn't like the way you died, die again"
everyone else: *laughs*
The play is "The Face on the Bar Room Floor". It's going to be wickedly funny! Stevie (aka Steph) and I have jokes to do during the play when we're going to be the only 2 out onstage :D

Well, my cold sucks. I used up a lot of Kleenex's today.
I actually did all my corrections for Spanish class (la clase de Espanol). My head feels all cloudy or something to that effect. Quarter ends in a week and 3(?) days. I'm was going to/might take my nutrition test tomorrow. I have to study though. *sneeze* *cough* *complain* *repeat* I'm doing the first 2 and the last one a lot.
Yea, so, I'm going to go get some sleep because I'm tired and I want to get healthy.
Only 2 meetings tomorrow and then the rest of the day is to work. Eh, maybe I'll take my Algebra test tomorrow also.

It's about the US presidential candidates.
As most of you know, I took the PSAT test today (at 8:20 in the morning). The PSAT test was difficult and the only part I completely finished was the "Writing Skills" part. I think I did well but I have to wait until December/January for the results. GAAAH!
I called Richie today to talk to him and all that (since I get free nights and weekends on my cellphone) and he wasn't home so I started to do some homework. Then, all of a sudden, my phone starts ringing and I look at the number and it's no one I know so I pick it up and say "Hello?" and he's like "hi" and I asked "Who's this?" and he was like "Richie". He didn't know it was me because he didn't recognize the #. His mom called him and said "some girl called and it was a familiar voice" and he was like "Who was it? did they leave a name?" and his mom said something like "no, but they left a number. I think it was Amy". I was thinking "how the hell does his mom know my name?" haha
He really does hate dancing with a passion so he said he might not go to his homecoming. Silly boy! Sadly I don't see him too often.
Well, must do some homework because I have to work tomorrow. Volleyball refereeing from 1:30 - 4:00. Woot! I get money! *is currently broke*

I just found out my test results for my Biology test aka hardest test I've ever taken in my life.
83% :) Not too shabby eh? I have been seriously panicking all day. Any minute that I didn't have a scheduled class, I studied. I did nothing else all day but go to class and study for that test.
Test grades
Nutrition - 94%
Adv. Alg. - 92%
Spanish - 90%
Biology - 83% (as stated before)
*thumbs up*
Maestro Jim (my Spanish teacher), took my Spanish Portfolio as an example of a "good portfolio" :) It freaked me out a bit when he held up my portfolio and said "this is Amy's portfolio". hah
As I have said in my previous post (though it was friends only), homecoming was a blast! I'm so glad I went. Now I just have to get the film developed (and hopefully soon). I have 9 more pics to take.
I have lots of work I should do and will do (I guess...hah)

I have decided to go to homecoming. I got my hair done and got my earrings in right now. I'm going to eat dinner at home. Sarah and a bunch of people thought about going to Steak 'n' Shake after homecoming, maybe I'll do that.
So yea, it should be fun. The other semi-formal dance I went to I mainly danced with the girls and the guys just stood around and talked. hah. dorks!
So I'll look good, take pictures, and possibly get it professionally taken (depending on if we'll do a group shot or not). I'll try and scan the pics at school when I get the film developed and if I have time.
I'm getting 1 midquarter in British Literature, no big deal. I'm pretty darn close to having it finished.
94% on my Nutrition test :)

I got the dress, I got the earrings, I got the shoes, I made the hair appointment, I got it all for homecoming. Oh, and what do I hear when I try and confirm Sean is going to homecoming with me? "I can't go. My mom doesn't know you or your parents". He was blabbing about taking Richie or something and I just hung up on him. Then I called him back and was all "What does your mom think my family will do to you, kill you?!" and he was all "Oh yea, and my aunt's in the hospital dying". I don't really believe that.
So now I have a day to find a date that's willing to go to my homecoming. Yea...oh joy.... If I don't find a date, I'm not going. I don't want to go to any semi-formal or formal dance without a date. SP's date, Nick, is going to try and find one of his friend's thats willing to go. He probably won't be able to and if he does I bet the guy will be everything I don't want. Way to think positive eh?
At school, need to finish work and study for the nutrition taest I might possibly take today.
SP's reading an e-mail from Nick right now. He seems like he really cares about her, I'm jealous but that's normal isn't it?

Quick update because I'm going to get to doing some homework and asking my brother for some Spanish help.
Friday: SP met a guy, I didn't. Had tons of fun with Shannon and SP. Danced the night away. There was music inside and outside, tons of people. Stayed up till 4am with those girls :)
Saturday: Watched the Olympics.
Sunday: Watched the Olympics and the closing ceremony. Beautiful.
Today: School started back up. Maestro Jim (my Spanish teacher) only speaks Spanish in class so I'm thinking to myself "what the hell is he saying?" half the time. I'll get back into the groove of things. Got 3 packets to work on, yay. So much for thinking they'll go easy on me. All my classes tomorrow are bunched together...I'll post my schedule sometime.

I had written this HUGE update last night but then the power blinked off and the whole thing was erased...damn!
Well, I'll try and sum it up some so it's not TOO dull.
Yesterday I checked my e-mail. I hadn't checked it since Saturday because normally I don't get anything interesting. Well, I see that I had gotten 2 e-mails on Sunday so I look at who sent the first one. It was Kathrin!! God I hadn't heard from her since the school year ended. She was an exchange student at my school for a semester. She's from Germany and she says she's coming back to St. Louis next summer! YES! Then I thought "ok, this can't get any better in terms of e-mails" and then I saw the second e-mail was from Marek! HOLY SHIT!!! Marek is my pen pal from Poland. He's been my pen pal for almost 3 years now and he's 20 years young. This made me smile:

Well, I'll still go through her closet to see if there's anything for me to wear. haha. WAIT! Just found out she was kidding. She's wearing one of the skirts and I'll "try and fit into " the other one. I'll be able to :)
The Food Festival is September 8th and 9th I believe. I'll probably be working in a booth, just like I have for the last God knows how many years. Babci called yesterday and asked if I wanted to go to the Polish Falcons to help make and pack Chrusciki.

Ran a bit downstairs tonight. Nothing too exciting. Have to go to the high school tomorrow to garden again (thank you garden club). Ah, it shouldn't be too much of a hastle, easy work. I'll have to go school shopping soon. Notebooks, locker shelves, binder/folders, pens, the same ol same ol. I'll be starting on the 30th. I have school pictures this coming Monday though. I'll type my schedule up sometime soon for y'all to look at.
Nothing too much happened. We went looking at cell phones and the plans and all that. Hopefully we'll be getting new ones soon.

Ah! SP and I went to see "Princess Diaries 2". Yes we did! I LOVED IT!!!! It was great to hang out with good ol' SP :) I'm a sucker for a good chick flick. We were going to go with Sean and Richie but Sean was at his friends house. Anyway it was fun with just us girls. haha!
Went to the funeral home for Choci Wanda. For all of those who don't know, Choci means AUNT in Polish but she's really my cousin. We call her Choci Wanda out of respect because she's an elder. We drove Babci (grandma).
Drove to church and to breakfast. All good.

God the opening ceremony for the Olympics was absolutely beautiful last night. I watched some of the Olympics today. The beach volleyball (USA won), syncro diving (China won), and indoor volleyball (China won). The USA team was doing really good in indoor volleyball but the Chinese team was just a tad better. They play Germany next I believe.
I was hoping to go to see a movie or something with SP, Richie, and Sean but I haven't talked to SP and Sean's probably having some late birthday party with his friends. Whatever. Maybe we'll do something tomorrow.
I'm still in a creative mood. I made one of my necklaces into 2 bracelets. Still looking for something to cut up and sew together again. I did that with my old school skirt and I think it looks pretty cool (even though I hated it when I had to wear it). Never have worn it out in public yet.

Well, volleyball tryouts are over for me, I was cut today. No big shock really, I figured because I haven't played in awhile and an not up to speed with the other girls. I still had hope and I was still sad not to see my name on the list but that's the way life goes. I probably would've had a better chance if I was on the team last year, oh well.
When I woke up, I couldn't really move my legs, they were all cramped up (or a pulled muscle, still not sure which). After we ran for about 8 minutes as a warm-up, I didn't feel any cramped-ness in my legs. Then when we were doing the jumping exercises, my legs started to hurt really bad again. =/ Before tryouts, I gardened at school (I'm in the garden club). That was for about an hour since we all worked quickly.
My legs are killing me again =/ It'll get better.

My legs are killing me from volleyball tryouts. My serves are absolutely WONDERFUL, I couldn't be happier with those. My hitting is so/so. Setting is pretty good. Bumping could use some work. I need to allow myself to dive for the ball. Whenever I try to, it doesn't work.
Tryouts are 2 hours long this year, instead of the 3 hours last year. I have some minor blisters on the bottom of my feet from my shoes rubbing when I run. I'm wearing my volleyball socks, I <3 them.
Cuts are tomorrow, we'll see how that goes.
This is WAY off the volleyball topic but the Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda (it's a shampoo) smells so amazingly good!!!
I have to wake up earlier tomorrow because I'm gardening at school for a couple hours. *shakes fist at waking up early*
That's it I think. I'm going to go sleep, I'm TIRED.

Tryouts are tomorrow for volleyball, some time in the afternoon. It'll interfere with my guitar lesson (which I scheduled for an hour since I missed it last week) so I'll probably have to reschedule yet again. I'm somewhat anxious about tryouts tomorrow becasue I haven't really played volleyball in almost a year. I just hope I don't make a fool out of myself because that wouldn't be good.
I didn't do too much today, I'm not feeling like hot stuff right now because of stupid cramps...*shakes fist*
I drove the Hyunda today, it drives really nice. That's about it.
UPDATE 11:30pm:
Well, do I have a story for YOU. I broke the microwave. Good job Amy.
I was boiling some water to make some tea and I was really close to the microwave to see whether or not the water was boiling. All of a sudden *BOOM*. The water explodes, the door flings open (and the front of the door fell off), and the door hits me right on the head. So I was able to break something and injure myself in less than a minute.
Don't worry, I'm alright. I just have a bump on my head.

My cat stole the computer chair so I'm sitting in this one low chair because it's comfortable and it was the closest chair. I didn't have the heart to move Patches, she looks so happy and comfortable which makes me uber happy. I think she really missed me when I was at the lake.
Today's Sean's birthday. I called him up to wish him Happy B-day again and he asked me if I wanted to go bowling or see a movie with him tomorrow. He was in a super happy mood. I'll probably go out with him tomorrow then unless plans get changed again or if he doesn't call me. I think Pete's at her aunt's house...that sucks.
The rest of the family went gambling. Wonder if they won any money...I'll see when they get back.
I guess that's about it.
