Well what an evening....I guess those Full Moon Jitter Bug's got it happening a little earlier than expected tonight, if expected at all. What am I saying....well my car's out of action, and sleeping overnight in the supermarket car park. Which mean's when I went to the supermarket to pick up some non-essentials the car died on me....I've been meaning to take it in for a service, and I guess I left it a little late, personally I put it down to the timing a bit because for the last couple of weeks it's been chugging a little which may even mean it's the spark plugs...which it could be...anyway...it ran out of energy...and basically wouldn't start....so I rolled it to a empty spot in the car park. Someone did actually help me, this time when I was testing the oil, etc trying to work out what it was, and although he got it started, and told me to drive it straight home....which I tried to do...it conked out on the hill....so I rolled it again....lol....Then a couple of young one's helped me roll it into another park in the car park...after doing a half circle. So ....they left, and it's back end was hanging out of the park so I thought right I'll straighten it up....as it was, I'm getting ready to roll it, this BMW pull's up behind me as I'm rolling, and I thought great..(sarcasm), I'm going to wipe out a BMW....so pulled the breaks on...kind of stressed out...and they hopped out and gave me a hand. Ended up driving me home, which was nice. Mum and dad were out.
So that's the bad new's.
Want the semi-good news ?
Well after searching high and low for some info on getting the AVI files down in size...believe it or not, I was able to get the 3.2 gig down to about 500 MB, which if you consider that I didn't need to buy any compression software...which may or may not be able to do the job..(and most likey I should check to see if I can get it down smaller) that's actually quite a feat. So in actual fact I've worked out with those specifications....I could for all intensive purposes get a four hour movie on one disc....so that's actually pretty good new's really.
The not so good news is, that while I'm happy with the P. C. quality of the files, getting a quality DVD production....is/would take so much rework...and considering how much effort it's already taken...well honestly I am left wondering if it would be worth the effort....Thing is I do like putting in the effort....so I'm still up for it...believe that or not....but what I'm more interested in doing is focusing on what works in the here and now...in terms of producing goods.
Other thing...which may or may not annoy people.....what I really need to make the DVD version, is a small crap box of a T. V. and most likely DVD that I could put on my desktop and work from, which if the truth be known...is most likely how a production house would be set up....it would mean moving my old computer viewing screen off the desk....while I'm in no hurry to do this....because I can get up and down and test it on the T. V. it's just a hassle and very time consuming.
So my final decision on making this thing....yes it is possible most likely without a doubt. What is the likelihood of making any income from the product given the market for such items....I would say very difficult without support from the Industry Movers and Shakers....and without some sort of Advertising/Promotional Budget near impossible.
Not that I wont keep working away on it....I just don't think it should be central to my business/career plan although it will still be/hold a central position in development.
That may or may not make sense to people...but it makes perfect sense to me.....so that's the news....
And while it's not the greatest news.....its certainly very helpful in terms of life and business assessment.....which I really needed to do....which again....mean's while I'll still keep moving with it....I'm not going to pin all my life/hopes and dreams on it....if that makes sense.....but I figure some thing's will work out okay....and I won't exactly have thrown million's of dollar's down the drain in doing it....hope people are okay with that...

okay...well as far as I'm concerned getting those figures worked out on the burning is all I'm putting in for the day, I'm sleepy, I want to go to bed..I want to party...and I want some action....lol....no it's not quite that bad....mum and dad are going to pick the car up for me tomorrow....which is nice of them....and I again...have to get my head together in terms of what to do next...so probably should get back to my to do list again, so I can get some focus in terms of prioritizing...
so night for now....see you when I wake....

I have actually watched a couple of good movies...I'll get to that later...round about now..I need a drink man, and believe it or not....there's a can of coke in the fridge....so I might scoff that down.

So it looks like I have to have the car towed. Mum and dad just filled me in, the RAA took a look at it and most likely its a blown head gasket....which I think is the worse case scenario......basically the check they did, the water level was low, which doesn't surprise me, because I really should check that every second week with the car I've got, and it's age....there's a "noise from the water pump area"....which who know's what that could be, I mean there's a noise from the engine...but they haven't put that down, and finally the gasket gear "compression leak in cooling system"....which I could possibly fix with a sealant.....I'm not sure....
So at the moment I'm having it towed home, about five km's...because I'm not interested in out laying any cash on it until I've made up my mind what I'm doing. Basically there is a mechanic about 800 meters from where it's crashed, and I was saying to the people who gave me a lift last night, I should probably just roll it to the service station......she thought I meant just roll it in the bush...lol...
But here's the way I see it....it's only got two month's rego left on it, so I'm not losing too much cash if I don't fix it, I can always go back to walking, because let's face it, I still like the exercise (mind you it is coming into winter so that's a hassle), and although I love that car and it's in great condition for it's age...it's been annoying me lately....because it's got rust on it....and I don't have the time to fix it....
So basically because at this stage there's no life changing circumstances that I'm aware of occurring in the next couple of months....although there are certainly a couple of new things I want to try...I'm not getting the car fixed straight away....
So that's the news on the car....other than that no major hassles...
