So seeing as were on how ignorant I think a number of members of the Music Industry are here and abroad culturally. I thought I might enlighten you with another artistic protest that to this day is still most likely not recognized for what it was. You see when I moved to Darwin with my parent's I was fortunate enough to be dragged along on all number of their social occasions. Of course it opened me up to all number of local cultural custom's many quite different to Adelaide. Of those event's and the one that remains quite vivid in my memory and I think most relevant to this particular incidence, was when I attended my first corroboree. I was young, year 9 in high school to be exact. But the memory of the woman dancing some what naked, all be it for some tribal paint, still remains one of my fondest memories of that place along with the more than earthly music. Now well I can't help but laugh as the electricians try to develop environments that keep the populous cool in the heat of summer, and the fashion designers that try to develop the next supposedly cool summer range all the while adding to global warming. Kind of ironic don't you think. However to continue, it was the middle of summer and with my, what some would consider as yet undeveloped artistic temperament "little did they know of my own drawing abilities as they were reserved mainly for the school art class", off I went to a musical festival to provide aromatherapy massage service. Of course despite my admiration for the particular artists and the promotion agency, I could not help but start displaying some negativity towards them. And to be honest I think it was most likely due to my number of requests to be considered an artist for artist management, and the constant repetitive turn downs, again, without even considering or listening to my idea's and abilities. In fact it remind's me now of an instance where I was working at Tandanya Aboriginal Cultural Institute located in Adelaide. I did quite a significant study on that business, and I remember most distinctly the day an Aboriginal woman turned up with some art to sell to the gallery, at that stage I was a retail sales manager (also student preparing research report) . The exhibitions manager declined her art work and now looking back, and my report recommendations on my finding's I can say with little hesitation that organization was not there to represent local artists. However me being me, bought a piece from her before she left. I guess it was me trying to put some fairness in the incidence and of course I felt somewhat appalled at what was going on there. I still have the painting "Bush Tomato Dreaming" and I'd have to pull it out to get the name of the artist. But back to music and it's relevance to this particular concert, which I doubt even to this day the band or the promoter knew why I did what I did, and I guess you could call it my protest. However it was a warm day 42 Degree's if I recall correctly, and I wore a see through top. I decided not to wear a bra, you know, I kind of considered the innocence and the knowledge of those aboriginal people, and I couldn't help but want to aspire to the freedoms of the past in that heat. Whether they are recognized as such with the onslaught of religious immorality, well that's debatable. However this day I wore a see through top, and I guess I still recall the lurid comments "slut", and other such things, but you know again, still again, ignorance of my place, my past my time my culture my beliefs and my people. My protest was a silent protest, my protest is still a woman's protest, and my protest is still a protest of fairness and recognition and equality and respect and acceptance by equality with countries and people that calls themselves the "Freest most liberated countries in the world", personally, all I see is the hypocrisy that lies within their so called Democracy. Up your's and up your pal's too, I hope that make's my feelings toward you a little clearer too.

Yeah, you know I was thinking of putting an appendixes in the thing at the back, you know...which year and which promoter, which band etc, kind of like a school math's text book, where you have to look up the answers at the back of the book to work it out.

Oh yeah, a social security payment turned up somehow in my bank account, it probably shouldn't be there because I haven't put in a form, but at the moment I'm not in any huge hurry to take it out, although I guess in the short term it would be interesting to find out why it's been put there. I only saw it yesterday, as it was the first time I've logged into my account.

You know I kind of hoped I could walk out on the stage and say something like, whoever throw's drink up on stage and get's my new threads wet, is a dead man, then I kind of thought maybe it would be better if I changed into something really shitty on stage, and said now man, we can all get as wet as we want.
I really want to party with my crowd.

The thing is with band's these day's they don't make mosh music...I like mosh music...simple as that, so the tackie radio shit that I hear most day's doesn't cut it...its either long boring repetitive guitar solo's or half ass attempts at rock music....sound familiar...probably reminds you of you...don't feel guilty or angry about it....just except it....that might help you to cope with the reality of your boring existence a little better.

Well today has been a real waste of a day, I can't believe it, spent most of it arguing with people about how dickie the band's are that they like, and the other half of the time telling them how great we are, which is true. Which if I sit down and get a time table sorted out, well it won't be long and I'll prove that to you.
Anyway that's all I better cook some tea and have a shower, and get down to some planning.
So better not talk anymore today.

So time to clean up with a shower, crash, and tomorrow get ready for a day, that hopefully doesn't start before the sparrows, or pigeons ;-) for that matter.
Nighty night.
