Okay well yesterday occurred, as I said, went to the two meetings, first with the Wesley Uniting Group, and you want to know something. I still don't know what the name of that guy is, because I've just received a piece of paperwork with the name of the organization and I don't think his introduced himself to me, I actually consider this of some importance. However, the meeting and don't get me wrong, I haven't gone into this meeting to be abusive to this guy, I save my feelings for what I think of this person and the whole set up here. So I go to the meeting and after last week's couple of questions I think to myself, well there's probably a reason to question this further so I did actually have a couple of questions prepared for the organization.
So we started where we finished. Now I was rather interested in why no one had been employed in a position on a full time basis after doing there six month program. I thought to myself, perhaps they have not shown themselves to be capable of the job, because I know myself, if I had individual's pouring through the Lipcrack.com Department every six months, sooner or later you would have to find someone that was worth employing.
I mean think about it really, because if the person is going in to gain training experience, then surly it would cost the organization time and money for every person they have to train every six months, when employing one person, would free up time to focus on the requirements of the business. Basically I think this thing is a scam man...simple as that. Okay so I had a listen to his response to my question "Why are they not employed after the six month period ?". In effect he replied that they are not, but perhaps in circumstances when a requirement came up, that it may happen. So far a good response, very "A" political, trying to sell me on the "it may" clause which these day's equates to you have Hales chance of hell of getting your entitlements from this Government.
So to continue, he informs me of the positions they have available, one is with a computer company fixing computers which he mentioned last week. The other one is with a "Crisis for Kid's Center", to remain unnamed at the moment. Now this actually interested me, as when I started my Social Work Degree, I did so, because I was interested in helping people, perhaps I was too "sold", on the advertising on television as a youth, "African Aid, Victims of Domestic Violence " etc. but it seemed like something that would be good to be involved in. After attending the lectures and the total contempt they have for members of this community well I was put off, and as you know moved to Flinders to study more "psychology", and I'm glad I did, because it really has given me a far greater understanding of being sold on messages and working though them to the truth...but that need's another time and place. So as I said I was interested in this option and asked a few more questions etc e.g. Location and who run's it. I was informed of it's location, but as far as who run's it "it appears to be a part of some network", perhaps religious. I'm not sure if I'll find out. But now my mind's ticking and I ask what type of work, I'm informed data base entry. I don't do data base entry ever, end of story unless I'm writing up my own reports, however I didn't say this.
So we're at a bit of a standstill, I'm interested, but I'm not, I ask "Well is it possible that I can meet with these people prior to signing the agreement", the response is "No".
Now you see "No" is never a good answer, it show's a clear lack of reason and understanding. So I respond, "well", I've read this contract and on it, it is written that the contract is to be "Negotiated", I'm basically informed there is no negotiation, this is the contract. Now I don't know about you, but would you put your name on a piece of paper agreeing to work for an organization or a group of people you have never met, and never having visited their premises. "I don't think so". However I gather that there are some people who are willing to do that.
So the meeting is concluded, and the paperwork is left unsigned. I go for a tea at one of the local coffee shops and then head off to Rome. I call it Rome because the case worker in charge of my case is of Roman decent, I actually thought she was Greek.
That meeting went fine, there was no contract to sign, and in after thought I still wonder why I was required to attend that meeting, other than for follow up of signing an activity agreement check. I pointed out to her, the individuals that I work with and how I conduct my own business always' requires a formal introduction. You know many people may not like the way I carry myself, but one thing I do know is my standard of professional business acumen and I like who I am.
So that was yesterday...or at least a part of it....and today is today....

Now as you can imagine the first thing I've had to take care of today is this third and final notice from the taxation department. So I gave them a call. Mind you I have prepared all my time and dates of receipts from the Department and of course am a little concerned about this final notice.
I called and stated my concern about the notice because as far as I'm aware all activity agreement notices have been posted...as I said a couple of day's ago when first refering to this matter, I have the first tour documents as a point of reference for changes in my tax records....
Now in front of me the dates of payment from the tax department as a match up with my bank statements which perhaps indicates why there is some confusion, or perhaps why I am within my rights to make my claim of "There's something fishy going on here".
So basically the ATO (Australian Taxation Department) are claiming that they have not received an activity statement from the Jan/Mar period. Now I am claiming that I've sent them all in, which I know to be a fact, however I gather that it's proving to my audience that this is the case. So...as it stands..
We did a quick check of facts. Basically as I mentioned to her when I received the first notice on June 7th I disregarded it as I had noticed that my account had been credited by the ATO, I assumed that this letter had been sent after the fact.
Now in cross referencing the data.. :
The Tax periods are
July/Aug/Sept
Oct/Nov/Dec
Jan/Feb/Mar
Apl/May/June
P. S. My mistake I have actually completed all activity statements for the year, I'm a little bit ahead of myself.

So we had to do a little cross referencing here. Like I stated to her "you know I do my paperwork as soon as I get it ", and to support this, she supplied this information, the tax department sent the April/May/June activity document on the 19th of June, they received it from me on the 10th of July I am assuming now then, that the payment in my account in July refer's to this period.
To continue, basically I'm missing a payment if the truth be known now looking at it from my side...and I'm also missing four pages of account total's for activity statements, which I still claim are missing which I discovered when I started following this paperwork up the previous day.
So now that I've determined that the last payment from the ATO correlates with the April/May/June period, that mean's that the payment figure I have here arriving in the bank account either refers to the Oct/Nov/Dec period or the Jan/Feb/March period.
So when I do redo this, which I am going to have to, that figure is going to correlate with one of those periods. Now I don't doubt the ATO's claim that they are missing a period of data. As I pointed out to her, the only thing that I consider that it could be then is the Postal Service ( and now with further consideration of course someone in the Tax Department), because I post my activity statements when I get them. So for me, this is going to be an interesting interruption to the day because if my records are correct as I claim, then when I re:do them, one of my periods is going to add up to the number I have sitting in my account.
What concern's me however is if in fact the ATO claim is correct, then why did they take three months before contacting me on the matter, and why did they process the following months reports without the previous months data. Of course it may be a simple mistake in the process system from desk to post box to tax personal. Or it could be a political attempt to discredit, I'm not sure. However I have an extension until late October to resubmit the data, which I will attend to in the next couple of day's.
And I don't want to discredit anyone here, however when I arrived home yesterday and mum's home with a rather convenient "day off", you can't help but put everyone under suspicion with regards to the four pages of activity statement missing data, although it would hurt me to believe this were the case....however when this type of matter arises,
be it Postal Service (Government owned), Taxation service (Government run), I can't help but consider all possibilities in this matter.
Anyway work to be done...

Man this is really tedious...however I am currently totaling all the receipts again.
