Now I don't think I have to let you know I consider that very threatening, and does not convince me that this is a customer service driven organization. I don't want to use another program, I like the one I have. If it cannot be rectify, then I will consider another service.

The message is also not an error, 220 is the MOTD, message of the day statement. FTP is working correctly for all other 170+ customers which leads me to believe the issue is your FTP client or network. I just logged into your FTP account using your same login credentials and it works just fine. I logged in using CuteFTP Professional 3.0 and the latest SmartFTP build. You might consider testing another FTP client or looking through your firewall rules. And I don't see what the network would have to do with this perhaps you could explain. I must admit I am losing my patience with this a bit, as I've wanted to access ftp for some time now, and I don't think I need to remind you that as a part of my service payment, this is supplied by your organization. I will have a look at the other ftp client's but do not believe I should incur additional costs , when it's plainly obvious that my ftp client is reaching the site, but is not gaining access past your own firewall. Network has a lot to do with it, once you login the port changes if you are using PASV mode. I really don't think you understand that this issue is on your end in its entirety. When a forwarder is created for this as well it's telling the system to double the emails sent; forwarders were not intended to be used in this way. Delete the info@lipcrack.com mailbox and the forwarder for it; at that point mail for info@lipcrack.com will continue to forward to lipcrack@lipcrack.com the way it was meant to be. I have to admit I am concerned ...I have just sent an email to the info@lipcrack address from my other email and it has arrived without any doubleing up as you mention above. I am concerned also because a forwarder, usually requires an address to send it from and too...are you saying that the lipcrack.com has an automatic forwarding function?? I have the current forwarders set like that because we don't have the staff in place that I'd like, so I just forward to myself until that time...if ever...someone presents themselves as interested in working for Lipcrack...if however there's a reason to delete these forwarders I will...but I am not receiveing double emails. So, right now, jimbob@lipcrack.com will go to lipcrack@lipcrack.com But, if you setup a pop account for jimbob@lipcrack.com mail will not forward to lipcrack@lipcrack.com. However, if you setup a pop account jimbob@lipcrack.com AND a forwarder jimbob@lipcrack.com to lipcrack@lipcrack.com you will get a copy at jimbob@lipcrack.com and lipcrack@lipcrack.com... this was not how the mail was intended to work. What you should do is delete all your forwarders and extra pop accounts. Mail will still go to the lipcrack@lipcrack.com account. If in the future you get someone that takes over sales, you can create a mail account sales@lipcrack.com and all mail for sales will start going to its own inbox instead of the lipcrack@lipcrack.com account. The recent network outage has no effect on the server your own other than the brief down period; it was a core router issue. We are still within our 99.9% network uptime guarantee. As you said above...currently I have it set up so that if an email gets sent to info@lipcrack.com, it also get's sent to lipcrack.com...and if that's the case...I'm wondering why half the emails I just deleted from the info email box, have never shown up in the lipcrack in box ?? And it still doesn't explain why the support ticket information that went to my yahoo account, did not also go to the lipcrack account as I have not changed those details and have never once recieved a payment invoice in the mail box...

Emails not going to alternate accounts in the billing system does not effect website hosting services. I will look into the issue with billing staff tomorrow morning but I know we have more than 70 customers using alternatve emails without an issue. I don't mean to be rude, but I take offence when I'm told that your way is the correct way, and mine, as it is, is set up how I want it, and infact it's ahead of schedual in planning and development , and just because you dont happen to like the way I've done it doesnt make it wrong. In fact its none of your business, but what is...is to make sure that your service works correctly for your customers. And in fact if I do what you suggest ...which is typical with your types because you are already wasting my time with your carry on ....I'll be wasting time when I have to set it up again. It's a simple problem...the info@lipcrack.com email did not go to the info@lipcrack account, so either your program is not forwarding to that account ...or the email was never sent to the address... Anyway I'm sick of wasting time with this issue.. I never put the Spam filter on...as far as I'm aware...but I do recall you mentioning that you has something in place...and if in fact it's not allowing any emails into my account I would rather that its removed all together, because I know for a fact that some of the email's I've sent recently which have autorespond to the lipcrack address, have not turned up, and they are in my other email boxes...so as you can imagine...as would anybody...I'm getting annoyed.. Oh and by the way in future if I ask a question ...just answer the question...because as above you keep reinventing the story...eg..now instead of going into the lipcrack box it's going to go into the inbox. You know I 've worked for two internet companies...so it's also annoying when you talk to me as though I have no idea.... again...it's set up how I want it...there's no reason to change it...in fact as per the ******...its set up according to the ***** guidelines... Alena Housego Submitted: 10/21/2004 12:04:02 am Time between event: 1 hr 34 mins That's fine, I have tried accessing the flash tutorial at http://www..com/kb/index.php?ToDo=view&questId=48&catId=6 and this is not working so I'd like to request instructions on how to do this...I have already created a home directory back up, and have also downloaded the smartftp client which relay's an error message re a required file, so that will not be a suitable alternative. I'd like to download the backup files via the @@@@ as you mention above but do not Know how to do this, the only other suitable alternative I can think of is that I utilise the other ISP that uses @@@ and via the remote host /ftp process forward all files to their server. In the meantime I'll point out that the problems were related to not only ftp but your mail service hosted on your service. I'll also point out that prior to utilizing your service I did some back up reseach on your company, and have also documeted your correspondance with W3Com when you yourself were requesting information regarding the workings of interent technology. I can quite easily test the ftp program on the free ISP service which I shall do immediatly which should qualify that my Ftp client does work. As per all other support tickets it was in fact your own lack of knowledge that held many things up...and has also done so until now...which I gather by canceling the service...this perhaps is the only thing that you have done which will save me time and effort So cheers...

I don't know how many accounts you have closed in the past, but I have contacted my legal assistant with regards to this matter, and despite your claims of sole discretion, I believe that within a court room you would be required to explain what reasons ...and I'll point out adequate reasons...for denying access to a paying customer, you have. I did not want to close this account...I requested information as to why parts of the service were not opperating ...you have explained that it's a network function from this end...and I have evidence to the contary which shows that my ftp client was reaching the server, but was not gaining access to the files. All my questions are releavnt to the Internet Services you provide as per your agreement.

I have never closed an account out like this and I have never lost a customer due to service. The reason was stated above, excessive support tickets for issues not related to service, it's outlined in our agreement what we support and you don't seem to grasp that we have gone above and beyond to assist you and all you do is get steamed and say it ain't so. I will send another ticket with FTP connect, browse, download, delete and upload log with your account for further records. So now that you've read that and more than likley are completly confused by a number of things...well here the interesting thing. You see you may remember I bought an MP3 player with mum and dad's birthday money, well funny thing is when I uploaded the software for it...and before I'd mentioned anything of this to Wassim Metallaoui, it actually installed one of the file updates that was required to make the Smart FTP programme opperate. I noticed this when I installed the program, so it gave me time to test the site for access before it was removed. Now...if you have a moment to read...well what comes next is the transcripts from the ftp program.. And to work out what's going on here, you'll need to be aware that I tried both passwords given to me, the original one I connected with and the additional one supplied by Wassim....notice the ice*** and ice****. Which sure I should make it a little more difficult to crack...but why would you crack and Ice account other than to get an Iceexplosion. I have left out a couple of other transcripts...re : changes of passwords...

So following that here's just a small example of what happens when you put a bunch of programs and files on your Server without first testing them for secuirty leaks, which is why I stopped using the programs and pointed it out to them when I connected five months ago...however it took them five months to work it out themselves...so personally they can piss off..

The issue has been reported to CPanel developers and a temporary solution was put into place around 12:45p.m. CST.
At approximately 9p.m. CST today we will re-compile Apache/PHP to apply a permanent fix. Downtime, if any, will be less than 10 minutes; apologies for the inconvenience this might cause.

So if you had a little trouble reading through that and working out what this weeks answer was....well you could have made a guess and at least scored some Crack.....however...for those of you smart enough to work out when I'm in a huge shit...well it probably was kind of obvious. Also for real Crackers I've left a small clue that if you wanted to track this dick wit down, well its not that difficult.
Other than that, well be making sure our new host is accessible because according to most of these providers service conditions, sure they'll host your site on their serivce, but that's it, hosting does not mean that it is going to be accessible for access from any internet location around the world...all it means is your files are located on a server somewhere...and that is something you should be aware of...and considering our new host has two file locations for the Lipcrack site...well it's time to make sure that our cyber space is launched in full effect.
And I'm sure there's a few of you that are thinking I'm being a little unkind, but tell me this, you pay someone to fix your breaks and they forget to apply a bolt so that you go spining out of control on a wet road....think how you'd react...a few "f" words, is not without cause...

11:04 pm Like I said...or did I ...I probably should have...its like kid's you double the number you double the problems ...real estate property's probably much the same...and the amount of staff on your team would be another good comparison...basically the more you have of something ....the more problems you have....which is why considering I know this valuable piece of information....why the hell did I open another blurty journal. It's like waving a flag over your head and saying....come and get me...I'm ready for the next problem.....problems....problems...problems....Do you think we'd be better off without a Systems Administrator...well I think so...he obviously thought this about me...so get ready for it....the long read for this week will provide some insight to last week's answer...again...I'm giving you a little opportunity to change your answer given the following information...
