I have to start my lesson plan. My professor postponed the due date till the 30th but I'd still like to do a lot of it tonight. Atleast I have my five days planned out:
Day 1 - What is a rainforest? Characteristics, identifying animals in a rainforest, etc... ; bring in stuffed animal to class next day
Day 2 - Layers of a rainforest: floor, middle, canopy, emergent ; which animals can be found in each level ; determine which layer their animal belongs in ; story at the end ; homework assignment: "Which rainforest animal am I?"
Day 3 - Succession - how plants grow over time ; activity undetermined
Day 4 - Determining age of Trees ; PLT Tree Cookie activity
Day 5 - Why it's important to take care of the rainforest, what we get from it, etc.

Yay so many good people were there. I'm so glad Brendan wound up coming out, it was good to hang out with him again. I love how any time there are more than 5 people at my house nowadays we have to take a "group shot" as well hahah the only people really missing here are annie kathleen and merrick :(
I think it's official: Merrick has faded away :(
I'm almost mad that he's in California right now. Not at him of course, but just at the situation. It's been about 2 years now since I've seen him for more than a few hours. After a while it becomes difficult to call someone one of your best friends when you're keeping in touch through "miss you" texts and 4-5 hour increments every half year that include you both being drunk from too much ruit. Like seriously, the last time I saw him was when I went over his house at midnight with Dorl and the three of us stayed up till 4am drinking and eating pizza. When was that even? April? I know this is neither of our faults. We possible have the most conflicting schedules ever. Maybe I understand where he came from when he admitted to cutting me out 3 falls ago. We were inseparable then and after Hopetown he just cut me off. 6 months later I get a text saying he was sorry for what he'd done but he felt like he had to because he didn't want to hurt my feelings by being away and not being able to maintain contact. Clearly that worked out well.
