I don't think yesterday could have been more chaotic if I tried. The driver picked me up at 4:15 and dropped me off at BWI. My first flight was supposed to stop in Newark. My depart time was 6:20 and everything was going grand until take off - as we were about to pull up, they slammed on the breaks and turned the plane around. A light came on that required maintenance. "It will only be 10-15 minutes". Well that's never true. An hour later we were still sitting on the tarmac. Even if we were to leave I would have missed my 8 oclock flight to West Palm which only lead to a string of events: missing my flight to marsh harbour, missing my ride from MHH to the ferry, missing the 2 oclock ferry, and missing surprising my mom. So at 7am I called my mom crying in the Bahamas "I'm supposed to be coming down to surprise you but I'm going to miss my next flight. I don't know if I'll be able to make it down there today now and Robin won't be able to give me a ride which means I'll need a taxi and I don't have any cash".

I was a wreck. Honestly, the only thing that sends me into a full-fledged panic attack is when I have flying issues and get stranded somewhere without my parents. Granted, I was still in BWI but if I were to get off that plane I was never going to see Hopetown. So here I am at 7am, I'd dressed up so nice but my makeup was smearing and I couldn't compose myself. It didn't help that there were only 8 people on the entire plane so everyone could clearly see I was freaking out.

By 7:30 we hadn't taken off and it was hopeless. I started figuring out a game plan - how I was going to get to my next flight. I was so used to American Airlines just leaving you stranded if you missed a flight - they wished you goodluck and left you to fend for yourself but moments later a Continental agent came up to me: "We put you on the next flight from Newark to West Palm at 9:10 - you'll leave West Palm at 1:40 to MHH at 1:40 and make it there by 2:30. They had taken control of the entire situation for me! Granted. I was going to have to take the 4:00 ferry but atleast I was getting there.

After I hung up the phone from my parents screaming at me about how I'm an idiot for not bringing more than 2 dollars with me, a man behind me turned and handed me a $20. 'Sir I can't take this, but thank you' 'No please take it, I think you really need it' (which was true since I had no way of getting from the airport to the ferry and a taxi cost $15) - I embarrisingly accepted the money and carried on my way.

Luckily the rest of the trip went smoothly. I made it all the way to the ferry dock and as I was halfway across the water the man came to collect our ticket stubs. I was thankful that I had my return ticket from last trip but as I pulled it out of my wallet I realized it was not a ticket, but a receipt stub. Which left me in another blunder. When I got to Hopetown I had to borrow a 20 from Ryan to pay for the ferry.

I managed to bum myself across three planes, a taxi ride, and a ferry ride with 2 dollars in my pocket - one country to the next.

To make things better this story has only been spread halfway across the island by now. Everyone finds this absoluetly hilarious and as a result I have acquired the name "Dolla Bill".

So of course by 4:30 I want nothing more than a beer. We head down to Jacks for Happy Hour and I plow through Kaliks. By my fourth I realized I was getting drunk and I'd only been on the island for an hour and a half so I stopped. I went back with my parents and had Wahoo for dinner with Asparagus and rice (SO GOOD!). We went back to the bar a little later around 8:30. Clint and Justin invited me out with them around 9:30. I figured why not and piled into the car with Clint, TJ, Justin, Jordan, Nathan, Cameron, and this girl Sarah who couldn't have been more than 15 or 16 years old.

We went up by some beach and all hung out drinking beers. It was kind of lame but I realized thats only because I'm 2-3 years older than some of them - if I was 17 again I know it would have been more thrilling. I talked with Clint a lot and we kind of hatched over our non-exhistance friendship. We all stayed out till about 12 and then came back into town.

I passed out and slept in till 10 today. It was absolutely wonderful. Woke up, had a bowl of cereal, and took a mile walk on the beach with Tanya and Harley. I'm back at the house now. Dad and I are about to head up to On Da Beach for lunch. I'm so hungry. Tonight I'm going to the Edge for dinner with my parents then Shannon, her two friends, Francis, this guy Charles, and myself are all heading over to Cracker P's for the full moon party. It will be my first time going and I'm excited but nervous because I know if I don't have a good time I am stuck there until 2 when everyone wants to come back (because we travel there by boat).

I guess it's just like a day at Nippers though so I shouldn't be worried.

Anyway, until next time!
