So it's Saturday morning and I'm hungover. My head hurts and I don't want to do anything. After three hours of laying in bed I decided to get up and make some mac n cheese. Watching Top Chef has been torture when I have nothing good to eat.
I saw Matt Nathanson Thursday night. He was absolutely wonderful. He sounded just as good as he did on his CD's and his humor was amazing. But by the time he came on I was so tired from standing. I thought that Ingrid Michaelson (sorry Emily) kind of sucked. She has a good voice, granted, but her music is so dreary. Aside from that, she completely messed up her hit single, anddd did awful in the duet with Matt Nathanson. I could've done without her.
We left the show a little early. Both of our bodies were so strained from trying to see over everyone. The crowd was mostly 30 year olds so everyone has by atleast a foot.
After the show we met up with Racquel and Bobby to go to this guy Jeffs party. Well, to say the least it wasn't much of a party. The apartment was quite possibly the grossest thing I've ever seen and nobody except Jeff seemed to have any interest in us being there. Apparently being clean and friendly makes you uncool to these people.
We left their place and headed home. I was quite tired so we just passed out after that.
Last night was a different story - Dan met up with Shu and Chris to go to Batemans bar. Racquel went to a party one of her friends Emma was having and Bobby and Tim were off seeing Rambo. I stayed home just hanging around the house on the computer. Talked to Ash a bit by text and around 10 got a text from Racquel and Josh saying that I should come up there. I figured why not, got dressed and met up with Dan to head up.
We stayed for about an hour. The group of girls was semi-immature and were so drunk they were falling all over the place by 11 oclock. I felt like the only one who was acting normal so I just stayed hanging out with Jason, Josh, and Dan. By 12 Dan and I headed out. We met up with Bobby Scott Shu and Chris at Batemans. I sat down at the bar and the bartender offered me a drink. I was hesitant at first but I figured the least I could say was I had nothing on me (which was true, I'd left my purse and everything behind). To my surprise she didn't card me, and the six of us hung out drinking beers and playing keno until 2am. By the end of the night, I was pretttyy done.
Now I'm going to go thrift store shopping with Racquel and then meeting up with Josh - we're turning the attic into a Hookah room complete with curtains to cover the nasty wooden walls, pillows, a carpet, and a lamp. My goal is to finish it all under $30. I think it is going to be quite feasible. I already got three sheets and two pillows for 8 bucks!
