3:03pm: The Burn Journals
TEEN

Brent Runyon is amazingly candid in this memoir about the time he spent in hospitals and a physical rehabilitation center -- after a suicide attempt during which he covered himself in gasoline and lit himself on fire. It's practically unbelievable that he lived through this attempt in the first place, and simply amazing that the experience finally put an end to his attempts at suicide. I think this book would be an interesting, albeit sad, read for anyone. I would definitely recommend this book to a teenager (or anyone, actually) who is depressed and considering suicide. It shows that there is help, and hope, if you seek it.

Happy Reading!
