Probably the most memorable scene for me, the green RVF-25 surveilling in the midst of the decisive battle space.

| decrepitude |
[20 Nov 2008|03:49am] |
The last time i checked, which i think was about 3-4 years ago, i can still can power up and make phone calls with my 9-year-old GH688. Sadly, now, it doesn't work anymore; the battery and LCD screen has succumbed to degeneration- particularly the screen has leaked inky juices all over and it seems impossible even for the handphone ah bengs to fix.
Can totally forget about any thoughts of bringing it out of retirement already.

| Gundam 00 |
[16 Nov 2008|07:25am] |
Definitely not made with a kid's script, Gundam 00 tries to be dark and complicated and manages to pull it off.. And the best part is, the dead stays dead, so no chance of fanservice overdosage. although it uses some cheesy titles like Gundam Meisters and Celestial Being but all thanks to the seiyuus' supreme kungfu, when those words are being cried out, they don't sound lame at all.
They sure got the formula right when Sunrise engaged Kenji Kawai to do the soundtrack. I like all OSTs he did for the Patlabor movies and i think he sure knows how to create music for instense robots square offs. Btw, Kenji Kawai scored for almost all of Mamoru Oshii's works, including the soon to open The Sky Crawlers.

| SF IV |
[14 Nov 2008|03:17am] |
i was in Bugis Junction and i had some time to kill so i head down the escalator to check out my fav time wasting place-- the arcade.
it was 11pm and there were not much people playing already but still in this particular corner people are still crowding around like there is a new game in town and everyone wants to have a piece of some action. i thought it was some new version of KOF but as i walked closer it is actually the rival game, the game rog must be dying to play.. the Street Fighter 4!
needless to say, it is impressive, i like the fact that they put extra oomph to the super moves. and if my eyes never fail me they actually put extra delay on your vulnerability when your super fails to hit your opponent; like the character is drained after executing a tough move. i might be wrong though, i was tired and it was smoky.
but what is even more impressive is the versus system. 4 systems are actually linked up together, it doesn't restrict you to just challenge the person sitting beside you. so for example only player 3 is playing and you choose to seat player 1 you can challenge player 3 if you select the mode to accept challengers. Then while you guys are challenging somebody seats player 2 and starts the story mode. and so if you triumph player 3 after the victory screen you will immediately be triggered to fight player 2, interrupting player 2's story mode.
i was watching this guy playing Sagat and with 10 wins he seems undefeatable.. The fella's style of playing just helps me to reconfirm that Sagat is indeed the smelliest character in SF.

| Desperation is |
[16 Oct 2008|02:47am] |
when you are half way crossing the traffic lights of a busy road and for some reason you need to take out your purse and you accidently spill your money all over the road.
And while cars are rearing to go you are squatting the middle, in their way and in a frenzy picking up whatever money you can see before you.. some of your notes started riding with the wind.

While walking to the bus interchange, Sailormoon, from a distance spotted her bus already at the berth and people from the queue are boarding it.
Dreading that the wait for the next bus to come might take very long she decided to use her secret teleportation power to transport herself immediately to where the bus was.
Just when she was about to do so, Tuxedo Mask noticed her intentions, realised what she might be capable of, went and tapped her from behind, causing her to break her concentration.
He asked her: 'young lady, why don't you teleport directly back to your home instead?'.

| 2nd Gen Honda Civic |
[13 Oct 2008|03:40am] |
I saw the yearbook for Honda Civic at the KAH showroom in ubi when i accompanied Chewy to finalise his Jazz deal last year and i fell in love with their 2nd generation Hatchback Civic. I think they are a work of art and futhermore.. they were built to perform! Too bad, the make is nearly 3 decades old, and obviously no longer in production. Else i would really consider buying a 1982 Honda Civic 1300FE. Or maybe, i can check out those 2nd hand car dealers in malaysia, who knows they might just have one in mint condition.
First, i should concentrate on getting my driver's license.

And i do hope it will feature on the big screens here.

[04 Oct 2008|04:21am] |
Somehow, soda drinks, especially Coca Cola really revitalises me. Maybe i'm just naturally low on sugar. I will have to stock up on red cans if i want more surges on my anime nights.
And I think it will be awesome and complete if i can eat some curry puffs while watching anime.. only if i can manage to buy some on my way back home, to remember that i have already bought them earlier and to eat them, if you know what i mean.
That will so not be easy, if you know what time i knock off work.

| too much credit |
[14 Sep 2008|04:53pm] |
Yesterday just as i was boarding a double decker 65 from Orchard Emerald stop to Little India a man tapped me on my back. He put out an IC in front of me and he said someone boarded the bus earlier had dropped it. I glanced at the IC for a bit before passing it to the Bus Captain. I asked him if he is possible to make a announcement about the IC through his PA system he shooked his head. I should have known better. SBS bus where got PA system? Nevertheless, the Bus Captain thanked me. Eh?
Someone near the exit of the bus suddenly shouted at his group of friends that he had lost his IC. I looked at him, asked him if he is Jonathan and told him i left his IC with the Bus Captain. He thanked me, went up to retrieve his IC, made his way back to his friends and thanked me again.
He thanked me again for the third time when he and his group of friends were about to alight. One of his friends mentioned aloud why the need to thank me so many times, The Jonathan dude replied "Because IC is very important mah".
I think his friend is right though, there is really no need to thank me so many times. Afterall, i didn't do anything much. I am just the middle man.
