I have been solus at work for a very long time, my frontliner colleagues even joked about how i have the luxury to work on 2 computers, have 2 telephone lines and that i have the entire storeroom space all to myself. And because my boss only drops by once a while to check on my stuff i am pretty much on my own. In another words.. i rule my own time and space.
Sadly, people who knows me know that i dont even utilise my break time at all. in fact, for most of the time, i will dabao and eat in.. and i almost immediately resume working after that. There is one good thing though, is that i have no restrictions on when i can go for my smoke breaks-- but its not like i hit the smoking point often also.
As it is boring to smoke alone, i will ask fellow smokers to join me as well. but I had totally forgotten and am glad that a close colleague indirectly pointed out how other colleagues who dont smoke will view the ones joining me as an opportunity for themselves to eat snake.
I shall be more careful with the frequencies and the timings when jioing people in the future.

| Thai Pubs |
[21 Nov 2009|02:08pm] |
Recently because of Chewy and Alan, i have been hitting alot of Thai pubs, mainly Sabai Sabai and Club Atlantis. When i was younger, i will definitely prefer clubs over pubs but this time round, maybe because of age catching up on me, i now find sitting there doing five ten with friends and grooving to the performances damn enjoyable as well.
I must say that when you are in those places you don't even get to feel a speck of the economic downturn at all. People are spending money on liquor and especially the flower rings for the performers like nobodies business!
The clubs may have a big number of Thai performers but they come on or even share the stage on a rotating basis and they will sing a rojak of mainly thai and also english and chinese songs. At the peak of the night, people will actually bombard them with so many flower rings that after putting over their necks you can barely see their faces. Then when they make their way to backstage they looked damn funny la.. like Humpy Dumpy retreating. But despite all the smiles they give out on the stage i was told that if the thai performers don't get enough flower rings they will be asked to leave.

SGD100! (price from Mikelz)
Only 1/6, the scale tips towards the expensive side.

30 cm Tall Authentic likeness of Simon Yam as “Lord Godless” An exact replica of the full body armor suit as seen in the movie featuring two armor helmets and lion shoulder armors 4 Interchangeable gloved hands Body (TBC) Features 15 points of Articulation Figure Stand FS-200 2009 New exclusively developed & designed packaging box set
SGD210. (price from Mikelz)
The problem with action figure replicas is that if the toymaker screws up just a little bit the whole thing looks cheesy. but holy cow! this one looks damn like Simon Yam la! Alas he looked like he is shrugging his shoulders.

30 cm Tall Authentic Likeness of Aaron Kwok as “Striding Cloud” Movie accurate costume including detailed partial armor suit - armor plated belt, armor shin, forearm armor and shoulder armor The Sword of Ultimate Superiority 8 interchangeable gloved hands RM-1 Body (Newly improved Ankle Joints) Features 15 points of Articulation Figure Stand FS-200 2009 New exclusively developed & designed packaging box set
SGD210. (price from Mikelz)
This is a classic example of a cheese replica. The action figure doesn't look like Aaron Kwok at all.. more like Leo Ku in a 80's rock band.

Today a colleague mentioned how she actually wanted to call her boyfriend and but dialed the wrong number instead and spoke a guy whose voice is similar to her boyfriend..
And then she laughed very loudly exclaiming to the colleague that she had never done that and will never do that-- to call boyfriend but call dial wrong number instead.
Oh yeah? what about that time when i called you and you said you will call back in 10 mins but in the end i waited 2 hrs for your call and when you did you said that you had meant to call me but dialed your ex's number instead and spend that 2 hrs reminiscing the past.. with him.

[21 Oct 2009|03:23pm] |
I look to my left and right and what do i see?
Losers.
In actual fact, they are everywhere.
People who.. during good times forgotten their roots and when shit happens they go back to their so called 'faith', friends whom they have abandoned earlier for a more happening clique to seek solace.
Spineless fuckers who only cares for a safety net to fall back on.
They think the world operates like a fish market-- all rush in just so they pick fresh fishes; touch touch press press and smell abit to confirm but will throw it back to the rack when they spot even fresher fishes. And when the so called 'fresher' fish got snapped up they quickly u-turn back to the fish they picked earlier.

| iphone apps |
[20 Oct 2009|01:50am] |
I downloaded a bunch of iphone apps last night which i think some of it might stay in my phone for a long long while.
Among them there's the..
Photoshare app. Apparently it allows you to transfer pics via bluetooth to other phones or iphones only? Actually I didn't really read the description carefully, i saw the keywords 'transfer' 'pictures' 'bluetooth' i click on the buy button liao. hahah its free anyway. I've yet to try out the app, but if it really able to send to other phones it will be super awesome!! That is.. if, you know how shitty the bluetooth feature on iphone is.
Data Usage app for Singtel. Again, i think this is an awesome application because.. you actually get to monitor your data usage and limit yourself accordingly. But, useless to me. With a 30gig plan.. how to overshoot?? This morning i checked, only 55.5mb used.. I just downloaded for fun.
SG Buses. Also another application i have yet to use.. I took cab to work this morning.. heh. Hopefulyl the chance will come tomorrow.
iDisk app. &$%* you actually need to register before using.. Apparently it allows you to view your junk on your iphone like looking through the windows explorer. Seems like a good app though.
Hoopslite app. Awesome basketball shooting game! Great for afterwork zombies like me who wants to play something but don't really want to use the brain. Too bad, its like a trial version, have to pay if you want to unlock the full version. Might consider if its only USD$0.99.

| 秘密 |
[29 Sep 2009|02:20am] |

I contemplated on buying the last piece of 秘密 today off the Music Junction shelf in Vivocity and when i got home i saw some handwriting marks on the cardboard cover off the room light's reflection i knew i should have tarek my horses instead.
Anyway, the album was out in March but i only know about 蓝又时 through MTV last week in China, and i went on youtube to dig up more information i watched an interview she mentioned the entire album is like telling a story i was reminded of JDA's Another Story.
From certain angles she looks like Cyndi Wang, Listening to her live, her voice is quite good IMHO but unable to have that distinct sound yet, its like a blend of 30% Sammi Cheng and 70% Gao Hui Jun. Well, but i am sure she will get there. Her forte i guess is on her niche for writing ballads; even though she is still young she has already composed alot of songs for powerhouses like Sandy Lin and Kelly Chen etc..
I started out listening to the zhu da ge 秘密 but ended up liking the 3rd track 那天 more.
That is all for now, will do a breakdown on the individual tracks when i am less lazy.

Hiromi Iwasaki - Tsubasa |
] |
Time really flies.
Last year today at this time, I was doing last minute packing for my HK trip.
------------------------
Two days back my Dad surprised me with a thick stack of photos of my HK trip on my desk; apparently he had taken the SD card to the shop wanting to develop pictures of his recent China trip but had told the guy instead to print everything on the card not knowing the card still contains older photos like ones from my HK trip.
I went through the photos and thought I should get a big photo album to store them.
I went to Giant in Vivo and found a stickon photo album with blue wordings "Happy Memories" plastered at the top right hand corner.
"Great." was what i thought.
A title perfectly describes the reason for the photos.

[20 Aug 2009|12:33am] |
The left side of my earpiece went kaput some time back and today i stepped into one of those iphone accessories shops to look for a replacement. I decided against getting normal earpieces because i wanted it with the mic.. i wouldn't know what i have to do if a phonecall comes in when i am halfway consumed by Disabled Complexes.
Anyway, i found what i was looking for and when i flipped to the back to check out the price i got a small shock.
$50!!!!
If it's good quality then i don't mind paying lor but come on, their earpieces are not very fantastic. And it doesn't help that it spoils easily.
