A few days back, for convenience i went down to Vivo B2 to change some ganbi for my coming trip. Then afterwards I found out that at Mustafa i could change for the same amount of HKD at SGD$11 lesser..
So, lesson learnt.
Avoid changing currencies from moneychangers in shopping malls.
With high rental and limited operating hours, they can never give you decent rates.

Always check yourself: where you are, what you are doing, what you think is gonna happen.
Else, you might just end up becoming the person you condemn.
And.. don't always assume that there will be a safety net underneath you.

It's funny how you can make so many friends from secondary school and poly days and even though you have lost contact with most of them you don't see them on the streets.
And then you always run into that group of few people you don't really know. For me, my brother's nemesis from secondary school is one of them. Though we don't greet we always give a knowing look when we see each other.
And for some friends, you'd run into them at places you least expect to.

I took this pic about 2 years ago so that i will remember what i used to wield when i was in the construction business. The reason for the shitty pic quality is because it is taken with my then Motorola flip-henshin-phone. Of cos, the positioning was intended so that everything fits into my screen when i hit the button. But really, the tools are usually in that kind of mess when work is in progress. Cos when the ah nehs borrow the tools(minus the drill and airgun), they don't walk back to your workspace to return you.. They throw. And the best part is, the big boss allows them to do that just because he thought it was more productive, ie: time spent on walking can be used to build another door. He also wonder why the tools spoils so easily.

This afternoon i caught a game from the Olympics Men's team semi finals between Japan and Germany. Kan Yo was facing Dimitrij Ovtcharov with the latter winning only because i think he's luckier.
If you have seen how tight and intense that match was, you will find yourself asking, how do they even sleep tonight?
Interesting fact: Kan Yo is actually a chinese playing for the land of the rising sun.

[16 Aug 2008|11:46am] |
The other time when my Dove shampoo gamed over, i decided to give Clear a try, since it was everywhere then, somemore Rain chopped his name on it. haha
But my conclusion is:
Rain cannot be trusted!
Okay, I should cut him some slack. But the Clear shampoo that he endorse really don't work for me, especially when i have dry hair.. it just leaves my hair even more dry. And for the menthol leave in thing, my scalp feels like it is on fire rather than minty.

| Diablo 3 |
[15 Aug 2008|02:10pm] |
Recently i was thinking when Blizzard is going to release Diablo 3, about 7 years later since D2 and still no news and there seems to be talks about Starcraft 2. While riding on the wave i went to reinstall D2 and started playing again. And I found out about this!

Looks like the wait will soon be over!

Apart from the current Engine Sentai Go-onger I am also watching 2001's Sentai, which is the Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. Gaoranger then, also marks 25 years of sentai business. In case you don't know what Sentai is, think America's power rangers, only that in japanese and they are the real and original deal. They have a theme for every season, and gaoranger is on animals.
One of the main things i look out for in sentai is the opening. Usually the best explosions with the awesome-est poises are in it. And although i don't really watch alot of sentai i think Gaoranger has got to have the most shiok OP ever. I really like the idea of the rangers twist while jumping and then just when they land with a battle poise their respective colour explosions go off at the back. The song has a very old hero feel to it and burns a deep impression into my head. The only minus is the sucky CG. But at the point of time when it was released it was considered good already.
Although i am only 7 episodes into the series very sad to say the episodes can't quite match up with the opening. Even though the story progression is moving quite fast and i still can't feel any chemistry between the rangers nor find any real values of a gaoranger.

Last night i took a camping taxi from Downtown East. I realised i had stepped on dogshit when i saw the taxi driver is a woman.
True enough, the usual $9 fare became $13.

I do hope we won't get to see much of Lee Byung Hun's face because Storm Shadow looks way cooler masked.

The air of the night seems to be different on this last day of July.
And when i looked down the wavy road for as far as i could see and i felt it was quieter than usual.
Now that i think about it it felt like Gabranth was coming.

The cleaning auntie from work was updating me about the passing of our ex-Archbishop Gregory Yong and then in the mist of the topic my other colleague mentioned that Lee Kuan Yew might be a Christian.
I paused for a while before asking if his christian name is Anthony, Anthony Lee Kuan Yew..
lol
Anyway, i don't think anybody can confirm if he is really a Christian in the first place.
