This is great!
You always get some boss type (or in my case an Academic) who think they can dump stuff on you at the last minute, and just by being aggressive and pushy think that they can convince you that it's top priorty (and worth getting behind on your other work for). When I was whinging about this happening again, a colleague said that I should tell them this:
Lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part.
