LOVE LIFE
Something happened. Those who are likely to know already know; those who don’t, aren’t likely to. Ouch. However, I do believe that things are back on track and Rob and I can get over this…
NINJA
Meh… I’m nowhere near ready for my brown belt grading as over the last few months I’ve just not been putting in the amount of commitment needed. Perfect example of this is the fact that I’ve had my ‘new’ bo staff for over 4 months, and I’ve not sanded and linseeded her properly. Saying all that, when I’m the highest grade in the class, I’ve been taking some warm ups which is good for the Ninjego.
HEALTH
Despite quitting drinking, I’ve been tired, sluggish and my eyes have hurt this month… I wonder why?!
BOOKS
I’ve not actually really read anything this month, [grin] except for two comedy picture books from the book man that I’ve read in my lunch hour so I don’t have to buy them! I have also read the World of Warcraft manual.
MUSICA
I like the music on World of Warcraft…

Oh dear. Something had to give for the amount of time I’ve spent on Warcrack. Guess what it was?!
Di Que Sí
Spanish romantic comedy – could I have gone to see anything more pretentious? This was a fun Sunday matinee, and worth seeing for a bit of arty farty light relief.

Predator 2
Weak sequel that I only really watched because I want to watch AVP. The special effects were actually quite impressive though…

Judge Dredd
There were some impressive special effects in what is essentially a horribly weakly plotted, poorly acted film utterly devoid of characterisation. Just about watchable for the action.

TELLY
DOCTOR BLOODY WHO! Who cares about anything else?!?!?!
I’m halfway through Ally McBeal season 1, Frasier season 1, Farscape season 1, and Angel season 5, so they’ll get reviews next month.
Coupling - Series 1 - 4
I have ‘coupled’ these all into one seeing as I’ve watched them all recently (and all together they make about the same amount of episodes as one season of an American programme). This was a fun, silly, poignant, and alarmingly on the button series, and I hope there’ll be another series as we were left on a cliffhanger!

Jonathan Creek - Series 1
For some reason, I’ve always been put off by this programme (probably Alan Davies) and avoided it. I’m glad I had a sit down and watch of it, because it’s a fun little programme! I haven’t managed to get the solution right in any of them yet, so maybe I will in series two?

RPG AND GAMING
Don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but there’s this little game called World of Warcraft that was recently launched. It’s quite addictive. [grin]
Oli’s evil campaign has taken an interesting turn, with the player characters gaining petty lordships! Havok now owns a town called Havokia in the Costa Del Havok, in which he has heavily invested in the Havok brewery making Havok Ale [grin]. We also now own a boat and lead a band of 40 bandits. Less impressively: we also managed to spectacularly kill off two of the party by a somewhat overzealous attack on a much more powerful NPC’s Inn. Whoops!
BLOGGING & T’INTERNET
Blogs have been somewhat on the crap side due to general lack of motivation and a poor joke spread over a week.
Haven’t really done much other than WoW online this month, but I did find this little gem: Alien Loves Predator - an amusing web comic. Also, if you didn’t know there were new episodes of Ninjai, or even worse have never seen it, you really should check it out. Ninjai really is, hands down, the most impressive webcast I have ever seen!

ANYTHING ELSE INTERESTING?
I’ve bought loads of CDs off evilbay recently, and not one of them is music! I’ve been buying up all the Doctor Who Big Finish CDs. I considered doing individual reviews of them all (I’ve got over 20, and have already listened to over 10), but decided against it. What I will say is that they are fantastic, and extremely well written. What I like is that they’re aimed at a slightly more mature and intelligent audience than perhaps the telly programme was, but keep the lively wonder too!
Thanks to Alf and Jodie, Chris and Angharad, and Numerous Nicknamed Pete for coming to visit me over Easter: it was great to see you all!
I also went to Wolverhampton to bid farewell to my brother who is travelling around the world for six months. Six months is a long time, and I’ll bloody well miss him. Don’t think it’s actually sunk in yet…
