'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal I always have been... Dodgy (or plain wrong) continuity in programmes is something that really irritates me (in a similar way to me disliking huge cuts in film adaptations of books). For example the fact that Spike claimed that Angel was his sire for two seasons of Buffy before they decided that that wasn't actually true drove me wild. They thought up the back story for Spike et al after he'd said that Angel was his sire, and just went with it, knowing it clashed with what had previously been said (numerous times). I've always picked up on continuity problems in stuff, and I can't help it. Things that just don't sit right annoy me. However, I think I've gone just a little bit too far this time. Magical Trevor is an amusing online cartoon. In Magical Trevor, the protagonist (Magical Trevor) uses his magic to zap a cow and teleport it to parallel dimension (where it saw beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, yeah, beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, lots of beans). In Magical Trevor 2 he merely saws a pigeon in half, yet they claim that he is 'ten times as slick as the last time, the last time you saw him'. As good as the cartoons are (and like everyone, I love Magical Trevor, 'cos the things that he does are ever so clever), the dodgy continuity made me raise an eyebrow. I think I probably need help. Have fun, M x Current mood: Current music: Magical Trevor, obviously. |
