Bloody hell!
I have this thing: I don't like wearing plain white shirts with black trousers as I think it makes you look like a waiter. Due to general laziness, I only had black trousers and a white shirt ironed when I dragged my carcass out of bed this morning. My response was "GAH!"
So for the first time ever in my current job, I wore a tie today so as not to look like a waiter.
"You're smart today, Mark! What's the occasion?"
"Ooooh! You look posh! You going somewhere afterwards?"
"Very dapper today Mark!"
"Nice tie."
