'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal I’m afraid I’m not going to do a full one of these this month, I’m not feeling very open… NINJA I turned up to a grading and decided not to grade because I didn’t feel ready. Taff (big sensei) graded me anyway! I am now 4th Kyu, which is one level away from brown belt! BOOKS Reading Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack Adventure last month and enjoying it, spurred me into reading his first effort: Are YOU Dave Gorman? by Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace. It wasn’t as good. MUSICA Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned by The Prodigy was delivered to me at the tail end of this month! As I said last month, I’ve only been waiting 7 years for a new album by my favourite band! Can’t help feeling that the ‘it’s completely different to Fat of the Land claim was a bit meh. There is a lot of stuff on it that is very FOTL, particularly the first song. The collaboration with the Gallagher brothers might as well have been the Chemical Brothers, it’s that similar to what they’ve done with the Gallaghers in the past. Also, there's no Keith or Maxim at all on the Album, so why isn't it just called Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned by Liam Howlett? However, it IS an excellent, excellent album. FILM Due to other stuff going on, I’ve neglected both my Screenselect and my Cornerhouse. I also am not really in the mood to do any reviews. I’ll catch up next month. BLOGGING & T’INTERNET I’ve added another blogger to my blurty friends list, deiselboi, who has some interesting (and even more candid than me) things to say. I’ve also added my friend Alley’s new blog to the blogs I read section as well. Other than that, as you’ll have seen, I’ve been unmotivated to blog. I’ve also found nothing cool or funny this month either. BLOGS I READ Alley Katt Blurty Friends: Jadash, Ajax and Deiselboi Bowch fishmonger malarky Fluff mcphee Mojo Pixie Prince Gaz Shooting Parrots M Current mood: Current music: Medusa's Path by Prodigy. Yeah, I know, it’s lazy blogging… http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/mind/surveys/whatamilike/index.shtml This is actually a really pleasant testy thing though. It has also been very accurate for me and my friends and has lots of different outcomes.
