'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal
Hmmmm...
I was just about to go to bed last night, and I looked up at my £9 lamp special from the IKEA. There was a moth flying around the bulb, and intermittently burning itself when it landed on it. Perhaps I was in a funny mood, perhaps it was the Stella I'd been drinking, but I got all gushy. I saw that moth as a metaphor for me and relationships with men: always fluttering around the light, but when I try to touch it, it burns me.
Am I really just a tragically stupid creature who lets myself get burnt by men, just like a moths get burned by light bulbs?

I am gutted...
I broke my rokushakubo (bo staff) at Ninja last night from cracking another Ninja around the head too hard with it... Okay, I jest, I hit his bo too hard and it split.
So, I had a go with Ninja Martin's bo, and it was SO different to mine! It was thick and clunky and rough and rubbish.
Gutted! I've had my bo for two years, and I love it. My bo was nice and lightweight and slim and well sanded which meant it was easier to handle, quicker through the hands, and gave me better speed and accuracy.
So I am off to Van Dang's Martial Arts supplies in Manchester on Saturday for a new bo, and what's the betting they're all horrid clunky ones? Titty biscuits.

PS: I think I'm going to name my new bo 'Vera'. MAJOR geek kudos to anyone who gets what it's a Sci-Fi reference to (clue: my bo is my very favourite weapon).
