'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal Yay! I got IDed at my local Costcutter recently. Lalalalalalala! I look under 18! I love my local Costcutter: it's cheaper than a Spar, has a reasonable selection of groceries, and is open late. Beyond that, there are two fit (and I mean FIT) blokes who work there - a cute, shy, twinkie, pretty boy and a hunky, shaved head and stubble, masculine, ruggedly handsome guy. [drool] Fitness aside, all the staff that work there are amazingly friendly and jovial considering that they probably earn minimum wage. One lady in particular with peroxide hair, sunbed tan, and husky smokers voice is particularly chatty and likeable. I was in one day buying some wine, and a young lad infront of me was buying beer. The lady (politely) IDed him, and he showed her some ID. When she served me, I smiled and said: "Aren't you gonna ID? I'd love to get IDed!" and we had a laugh. The next time I went in to buy wine, she served me again, and she said: "Can I see some ID please?" This did make me smile, and I got out my driver's licence... Like the lovely bus driver who made me feel all warm and glowy inside just by being nice, she really made my day by being thoughtful and silly. Have fun, M Current mood: Current music: La Haine by Asian Dub Foundation. |
