'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal

11th June, 2004. 11:23 am. I've Got A New Job!

Lalalalalalala!

Had a redeployment interview this morning at 10.30. It finished at 11. By 11.20, they'd offered me the job!

I know it's only a redeployment, and there's no increase in salary, but even so, I'm pleased. It's a nice opportunity and a fresh start... in the School of Languages.

Mark

Current mood: happy.
Current music: The Lalalalalalala Mark Dancing Round The Office Song by me.

11th June, 2004. 12:40 pm. Flapping Hell!!!

I am such a pun guru...

Ooooooooh, how I hate those bloody flags! Those of you who are in the UK will know the flags I'm talking about. Those bloody Euro 2004 England flags that nearly every overly testosteroned car driver have attached to their rear window.

This is what I'm talking about:

They are so annoying, and I just want to slap every person that has one. I heard that they've proved to be so popular that they've had to mass order more... from China.
Go figure - aren't we so patriotic buying Chinese goods?

Oh, and am I the only person that thinks the flapping of the things at speed sounds like an uncomfortably loud, prolonged, wet fart?

Have fun,

M

Current mood: annoyed.
Current music: Sacrifice by Elton John is strangely going through my head.
