'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal Gah! I try and eat healthily, and I get told off! Go figure! I was informed the other day that it is socially unacceptable to consume tuna from the can. I was also further patronised by the comment: "You've obviously been living on your own too long if you do that." Tuna is good for you; Chocolate isn't. Yet, I've never been told that chocolate is socially unacceptable. I contemplated why it's socially unacceptable to eat a tin of tuna as a snack. Is it the fact that you're consuming it straight from its recepticle? If so, why isn't a bag of crisps unacceptable. Is it the fact that it's meat? If so, why isn't something like a pepperami unacceptable? I actually asked why it was so socially unacceptable, and got a random dismissive mumble back. Pah! As is, I don't care if I upset someone who has enough time and snobbishness to worry about the fact that I eat tuna out of the tin (and I'm bloddy-minded), so I intend to eat tuna out of the tin, dammit! Have fun, M Current mood: Current music: Beautiful Night by The Lighthouse Family. |
