'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal I just did another silly test... Legardored is your Vampire name. You are one hell of an insane Vampire. Anyone who messes with you is out of their minds. To use your new Vampire name and become a Vampire, go here: http://www.life-blood.vze.com What is your Vampire name? brought to you by Quizilla Legardored... Hmmm. Have fun, M Current mood: Vampiric. Current music: Water Music by Handel. Whoops! Looks like I was wrong in my opinion that the fuss over Ian Duncan Smith's leadership of the Conservative party was a shallow publicity stunt to get his name in the papers... Ah well. Have fun, M Current mood: Mmmkay. Current music: Still Water Music. Sadly, this blog isn't about what I did; it's about what someone did to me. At Tuesday's Ninja class we did some sparring. I like sparring. Or at least I normally do. In fact, I enjoyed Tuesday's sparring up until the last kick! I was sparring with Ninja Matt. Now Ninja Matt is a defensive fighter and very aware of space and distance, which he couples with fast reflexes to make him a difficult person to fight against. Matt can be frustrating to spar with, because you just can't hit the bugger! However, what is very satisfying is when you actually do hit him: amusingly, he always looks shocked. Anyway, I was sparring with Ninja Matt and as usual, he was handing me my ass. He then threw a high roundhouse which I blocked REALLY badly. Like shockingly badly. Injure youself badly. Basically, I have an old scar on the back of my left hand, and I managed to flail it right into the trajectory of the kick. mManwhile, I also shoved the back of my bicep in the kicks way too. What resulted was a good kick becoming a devastating kick as Matt managed to damage my hand, bruise the back of my bicep, and kick me in the back of the neck at the same time. I was like "Nice one, Matt!" as I recovered from kick to the back of the neck wooziness, and he smiled knowing full well that my stupidity was a big part of his devastation. It wasn't until later that evening that I realised the extent of the damage I'd done to my hand with my stupid 'block'. It really hurt if I even contemplated putting any pressure on it. It is two days on and the pain has dulled a little bit, but not enough! I'm sat here blogging when I'm supposed to be at a really cool Ninja course (4 hours of Ninja instead of 1 1/2 - Gutted). I can type as it's not my fingers that hurt, but I still can't really pick anything heavy up, and certainly can't push anything. Arse. I'm hoping it'll go away soon. Have fun, M Current mood: Bit Miffed. Current music: Black Cherry by Rachel Stamp. Oh yes! He really, really does! http://www.b3ta.co.uk/patrickmoore/ I discovered this amusing 'short film' ages ago, and goodness knows why, but I managed to get the tune in my head earlier today, so I looked it up and it's as great as ever. This is a GREAT link... Well, it's a great link if you're really silly and like surreal things like me. You'll need your speakers on to appreciate Patrick's full xylophone playing glory. Have fun, M Current mood: Current music: Take a wild guess: http://www.b3ta.co.uk/patrickmoore/. |
