17th September, 2003. 10:32 pm. Blackpool

Huw, Laura, mcphee, Claire and Pete joined me for a day of tourism at Blackpool on Monday for a day before birthday birthday bash…

We had mucho fun and mucho comedy bumming (don't ask). Claire won me a cuddly Eeyore in one of those grabby games (yes, honestly! Those ones you never win!). We did far too much (okay, everyone else did a reasonable amount and I did far to much) silly dancing on those dance floor timey game things in arcades (and managed to make the bloke closing up loathe more than anything else in the world for making his shift five minutes longer with our last one). We managed to go on all the rides (and my elderly 25 year old body still hasn’t fully recovered) and played Crazy Golf (which I didn’t actually come last in: yay, me!). The evening finished with a nice meal at Bella Pasta and a sprint to the station to get the train home…

For a better written, pictorial version of events, take a look at phee’s blog.

17th September, 2003. 11:39 pm. Now That's What I Call Queeny

I do get round to things eventually, you know...

A while ago, Sean (http://www.blurty.com/users/downfall838) posted about making compilation CDs that sound good in the way they're formed (I did mention it about ten or twelve blogs ago). At the time, I promised to do one on queeny music. So here it is...

Now That's What I Call Queeny

1) It’s Raining Men by The Weathergirls
2) Where Do You Go? by No Mercy
3) Bailando by Paradisio
4) Dreamer by Zgi-Vago
5) Generation Disco by Generation Disco
6) Hit Me One More Time by Britney Spears
7) That Don’t Impress Me Much (dance version) by Shania Twain
8) Your Disco Needs You by Kylie
9) It’s In Your Eyes by Kylie
10) Freak Like Me by Sugababes
11) Round Round by Sugababes
12) Stop by Erasure
13) It’s A Sin by The Pet Shop Boys
14) Se A Vida Eh by The Pet Shop Boys
15) Survivor by Destiny’s Child
16) All The Things She Said by Tatu
17) Let’s Get Happy by Lou
18) Every Way That I Can by Sertab Erener
19) Searchin’ by Hazell Dean

That lovely little collection will fit on a standard CD: I know, I have it. It's lots of fun, and girls (particularly fag hags) seem to like it as well as queens like me and me mate Andy (http://www.fexter.net).

Have fun,

M

Current mood: Queeny.
Current music: All of the above.
