'My Corduroyed Life' - Mark A's Journal

20th July, 2003. 11:03 pm. First proper blog

Well I don't really think anyone will read this, but strangely want to blither anyway...

Hmmm, instead of bothering to write anything about me, I'll just post this link: www.gaydar.co.uk/kingghidorah123
This'll give you an overview of me in a crappy 'This is how I pull men online' kind of way.

Slowly but surely, I will introduce friends as and when they're relevent...

Internet wise, there's a new weebl and bob episode which is particularly good. www.weebl.jolt.co.uk
For those of you who don't know who weebl is, well, it's a daft flash site that posts a new episode about once every fortnight. The actual epidoses are about an egg (?) called Weebl, and his mate Bob who have various strange adventures, usually on a mission to get a pie. It's very much my surreal kind of humour. My friends either love it or hate it, and my friends seem to be 50/ 50.

I've also been getting FAR too into Project Rockstar recently. www.projectrockstar.com
I can't say how GREAT this game is. First of all, it's FREE. Yay! we like free games. You control a Rock Group Manager and have to make money. I've finally started to make a lot of money and am looking to create my own record label by the end of the week. My ID is Adam Marx in this game. I have filled my profile with delightful private jokes that no-one will get (well maybe a couple of my mates might get some of them). Of particular note are my Indie band 'Clwb Bwmio Llangefni' which have references to various events of this years Glastonbury Festival, my Ambient band 'Sincerity' which actually has my poetry as lyrics, and 'Dairy of a Sex Fiend' (which should have been 'Diary if a Sex Fiend' but I mistyped ) and that has song titles of stuff I've done recently.

Today's entry will be rather tame and unrude due to the fact I don't actually know how much i can get away with saying on this site. If I can be bothered (see! I'm not even swearing yet!), I'll look at other blurtys and see if I can talk about certain... um... escapades.

So what can I blither about? I'm sure that I can find something...

Things that are currently making me very happy:
1) I have two new weapons for Ninjutsu. A Shinai (bamboo sword wot you hit other Ninjas with) and rubber shuriken (Ninja Stars).
2) The fact I got random meaningless sex on Friday.
3) The fact that I've done all my ironing for next week.
4) Michael Pitt.

Things that are currently annoying me:
1) I've lost the job description for the job I have an interview for in the next couple of weeks.
2) I can't afford to buy Buffy series 6 on DVD at the moment (or I could but would have to live as a hermit for two weeks).
3) I've got a big spot on my top lip and it hurts.
4) Posh Spice.

I watched a delightful film today. I bought three DVDs for £12 the other day and got Octopus and Octopus 2 on one disc, Ninja Dragon and Ninja Terminator on one disc, and ECW TV 3 (ECW being Extreme Championship wrestling). I decided to watch Ninja Dragon whilst doing my ironing...
Hmmm... I tend to be easily amused by crap, and this was, well, crap. However, it was crap in an amusing and entertaining way, not a crap crap way. First of all, the Ninjas were a bit silly: they could teleport and can summon a gi (Ninja outfit) at will (and in a particularly poor puff of smoke) and not need to get changed. However, when they weren't teleporting about, there was some good kicking, impressive acrobatic flippiness, and reasonable sword stuff (although the swordplay was a bit Robin of Sherwood style and not very Ninja). T main character/ good ninja was 50 with a tash which was a bit strange. Good Ninja was cool, but the crappy plot where there were gansters going shooty inbetween bits with Ninjaness were slow and dull. I only want Ninjaness dammit! The end scene was actually VERY ninja: two ninjas faught to the death, and the good Ninja stabbed the bad ninja and they stood looking at each other momentarily, and then good ninja walks past him emotionlessly as he slumps to the floor. I want to be that cool a Ninja...

Hmmm... I do have more to say (I always have something to type random thoughts about) but I'm getting rather anxious to do something useful like do my sandwiches for work or clean my bathroom. The last time I cleaned my bathroom I was being insomniac and did it at 3.30 in the morning. There's a random pointless thing you didn't need to know for you...

That me for now. Have fun,

Mark

20th July, 2003. 11:10 pm. Experimenting

The guy who told me about this site has informed me that I can swear as much as I like on this journal. So at this point I'd like to say: Fuck. Fucky fucky fuck...
I really did have to do that, didn't I. I am honestly 24 and not 6, you know...

Now the real reason for this post is that I'm kack with HTML. I want to see what I can and can't do with this site... so I'm going to experiment and see if can do posh stuff, or just put random American (or as I like to call them wrong) spellings in square and triangle brackets...

so here goes...

Now, that should be a picture of Michael Pitt.

And that should be a picture of Fei Long from Street Fighter II.
