found this quote in my dictionary.com word of the day I always have a pad of paper and a pencil within reach, to
catch on the wing this turn of phrase which strikes me as
felicitous, that idea which I hope to be able to examine
more closely in the light of day.
--Roger Martin du Gard, [2]Lieutenant-Colonel de Maumort
(translated by Timothy Crouse)
I like that.
Word of the Day=
felicitous \fuh-LIS-uh-tuhs\, adjective:
1. Suitably applied or expressed; appropriate; apt.
2. Happy; delightful; marked by good fortune.
I have been able to get some of those things on that list I wrote Tuesday done:1.
Mall with Heather(I got yet another tanktop to add to my collection :D )2. Read Wasteland
(I've decided to finish all my library books first, and to save this for when I have "nothing to read")3.
Autobiography
(Yesterday at Bickford's brunch with my mom, we went through some events in my life. It was really interesting to hear all these stories about me when I was little. I am going to have to sit down with her again and finish up my outline before I type out the actual thing.)4.
Draw (Does art class count?)5.
Run (HA!!! Like that'll EVER happen!) 6.
Clean my room 7.
Do my homework (I was up till 3 am writing my English essay last night!)8.
Organize my photos.
(I'm soooo close to being done, so of course I've procrastinated to finish it another time.)I'm big on crossing things out. It just feels nice. Rather odd sense of closure.
Friday night I slept over Heather's. Jay came over and we drove to Brockton, cause we didn't know how to get to the Taunton mall. We got DONUT STICKS in Shaw's and some beverages in the 711. We rented a movie from Blockbuster and went back to her humble abode to view it. Only, within 15 minutes of the actual movie, I was flipping out because it was American Psycho 2 (we
wanted to see the first, but it was out) and there was a cat being cooked in the microwave. I jetted upstairs and spent a good deal of the rest of the night on her computer and talking to Jes on my cellphone. Man oh man, I can NOT wait to see her. And Julia and Katie.... its going to be so great.
Saturday I went with Kim and Heather to TJ Maxx and got a bra and undies. Just your typical girly shopping. I stayed home that night and my aunt accidentally ordered "Bowling for Columbine" on In Demand, so we watched that. It was such an amazing documentary, I've always wanted to see it. So I guess sometimes my aunt's mistakes DO come in handy...
My uncle got me batteries for my typewriter! Poor Julia had to hear my exasperated noises in attempting to get the old ones out while I was on the phone with her...if you must know, they were finally pried free with a metal ruler.
Kim and I worked extremely hard on our take home math quiz this afternoon at her house...we sure as hell broke a good sweat workin out those equations, man.
