| Still not around, but we just got back to the hotel after a jaunt to Maryland. We decided to go to the movies and I wanted to see Ray. Seriously, everyone should go watch this movie as soon as possible. And if Jaime Fox will get nominated for an Oscar for this, no doubt about it. You know it's a great actor when you forget who's playing the character. He became Ray Charles, totally and completely. I was actually shocked near the end when he took off his glasses for a scene because it reminded me of who that actor was. Ray Charles saw a rough cut of this before he died and I agree with his assessment, Jaime nailed him. I was unaware how much Ray's mother and brother impacted his life, but after seeing this movie I'm amazed. This man had a life full of bad and good, strength and pain, but above it all he was a legend. I can't express how wonderful this movie was. I would say that it's one of the best movies I've seen in the past five years, seriously. Go, watch, be amazed. | ||||||||
