It's been a day full of changes. As quickly as one minute passes, another comes along and changes the entire mood:) First of all, let's talk about the hilarious discovery that I made. Apparently, I was the subject of a wank on Fandom_Wank. You know, before I would have looked at this as "Oh No! Look at what they're saying about me!" But now? I can't stop laughing. I love giving amusement to others. Eh, old news. Moved on from that, got better things to focus on. Secondly, I re-did some of the products in my Slash....Because Store. I uploaded a multi-fandom image/list (Why Write Slash--Top Ten List) and put it on some of the products. If anyone wants a specific image on another product, just ask. I'll switch them around to suit your needs. ![]() Thirdly, a word of advice. Don't EVER try to drive through a hurricane. Wind, plus rain, plus interstate equals me going 35 mph trying to follow the brake lights in front of me. It came on all of a sudden (I guess the rain band turned from Ivan so it was crossing us right when I decided to drive home from work). When I got home, I sat in my car wondering what to do. As soon as I got out, I knew I'd get drowned, but I had groceries in the car. Hmm, well, I could leave everything but the milk, so must save the milk! This involved me crawling into the back seat, pulling the seat down to gain access to the trunk, squeezing in to reach the milk, and then sitting in the back seat for another 5 minutes trying to decide if I could make it to the door with a minium of rain. Yeah, that didn't work. I dashed to the house with my milk, but it was like rain sheets. My whole body was drenched and I was outside less than 30 seconds. Fourthly, the announcer from Sci-Fi doesn't know how to pronounce Richard Burgi's name. It's not BER-GEE, it's Burgi. And since when is he known for 24? Yeah, he was on 24 for 12 eps, but he was on TS for two years. One outweighs the other, especially since one runs on Sci-Fi! (And John DeLancie looks wonderful!) Between Darklight with Richard Burgi and Death on the Nile with David Soul, it's gonna be a nice weekend viewing. Fifthly (is that even a word?) I'm going to start re-reading my two Lovett gen zines this weekend (Goliath and Thousandth Man). I know I like them, which is why I kept them, but I've read them about three times apiece and everytime I forget the plot when asked about them. It was a good plot, a good story, but the details never stick in my mind for some reason. I think the problem is that I read them together everytime. I did the same thing with My Lover, My Hero and Dark Night of the Soul. I cannot keep those two straight in my mind, either. All I remember is one of the Lovett zines spans the time between S vs H and Sweet Revenge (I think) and either My Lover, My Hero or Dark Night of the Soul has Hutch pushing Starsky to abuse him. In fact, I really need to read those two again, too. There are certain stories that aren't happy, aren't gonna be happy, and leave me thinking the relationship is so beyond broken that it'll be repaired fully, but it also grabs me and holds me so that I read the whole thing all the way through in one sitting. Those two zines did that. In a fandom where there is a happily ever after (there's slash in canon, of course there's a happily ever after:), it's nice to look into the "what if" plots. |
