Subject:There Is Love
Time:10:05 pm.
Mood: hopeful.
Music:Did You Ever Know That You're My Hero.
I just watched the Siegfried and Roy Special on NBC. The overall sense, above the shock and the pain and all the accounts, was the totally evident love that exists between these two men. Long-term, loving relationships are a gift and these two men have shared their lives with one another for forty five years. Roy cannot use his left hand, his left leg is still paralyzed and he's still learning to try to walk again, but Sigfried is with him and will be with him no matter what. The last year has been harder for them than they could even fathom, but together they're surviving. That total devotion, that shining love, is something to behold.

And I guess I'm in a biographical mood today, because the new Ray Chales movie caught my eye, too. Jamie Foxx will star in "Ray" (http://www.raymovie.com/) opening October 29th. The story of a man who broke barriers, made a place for himself in a world that didn't know what to make of him, and never let anything stop him from achieving a dream.

With all the fantasy, with all the fiction, nothing is so great as the story of someone's life. That is truely the greatest story that can be told.
