Anyone wanna know the stages of shock? The last one results in death. How about the different types? How about the ABC's of Trauma Care? Yes, I worked on the Trauma grant today. How can you tell?:) One thing I've learned (or relearned) is that as much as I love medical topics and teaching/learning about them, I will never become a doctor. Public Health and Medical School, never the twain shall meet for me. I can teach you how to treat patients, but I don't think I could do it myself.
I spent a good portion of yesterday re-reading Diana Williams' Misconceptions because I watched one of her multi-fandom vids, the Double Quickening was in it, I remembered the story, and the rest is history. I have a weakness, I can't help it. And tonight...tonight was all about my other weakness. Someone on the DS list mentioned a blind Fraser story I hadn't read yet (which was shocking to me because I was pretty sure any slight disability story in that fandom had been read, re-read, and saved on my hard drive). And on the mail today I got two OOP SH disability stories! This means that I have acquired every story/zine on my "must read" list that I've carried to con for the past two years. This is a big feat. I'm gonna go and start reading on the shorter story right now. Such a lovely night.
