I got the first part of my zine back from my editor today. Honestly, I didn't think WORD had that many colors;) But she did make me think of some things and pointed out what I knew were the weak points. I re-watched Silence and Losing Streak tonight to fill out some of the points of the eps and I got a whole new perspective on Hutch's interaction with Belinda. Apparently Hutch is in a depressed state right now because this ain't what he told me the first time. My baby's got regrets, life-long regrets. This is a stronger story because of the changes I've made. I look forward to seeing Parts 2-4 to see what else needs to be reworked. I liked it before, but now I love it. I still don't understand the manipulation Starsky lays on during one of the eps, but Hutch doesn't either, so I'm left out in the cold.
My voter registration card came on the mail today. And for my first election, I'll have to do an abentee ballot probably because I'm supposed to be in DC on election day. It's some good planning, let me tell you. I'm going to check it out when we go through for SHarecon the weekend before, see how bad the city is. If it's too rough, we'll just not go to conference that week. I don't see how we're going to have many participants at the NIH conference that week anyway, so two less people wouldn't make a difference. I'm too focused on SHarecon to think about anything afterwards, anyway. I have to finish editing this zine. I have to make the boys behave. I have to....take a shower. All these will be done tonight:)
