It's David Soul's birthday! 61 years old, the same age as his partner;) And, just randomly, I found pictures related to David. I was trying to track down what photo shoot he did the California Tan picture for, but instead I found a picture of his parents, June and Richard Solberg, apparently taken in Virginia in 1984. And then I find out that China, his only little girl, has become a very beautiful young woman who looks just like her mother and nothing like her father, aside from the hair color. And then you come across something that makes you just go...huh? Umm, Happy Birthday, Davey. You never cease to amaze and suprise me. Keep up the good work. Between cooking and cleaning, I watched Car Wash again today. Now, I knew Antonio Fargas played the gay character. My memory was rusty on just HOW gay he played it. Lindy is a man who is looking for a man...and I doubt he ever goes home alone. I mean, who else but Antonio can pull off a line like this? "I am more man than you will ever be and more woman than you will ever get." And because the SH fandom is the most sharing fandom ever and because they understand that I get really really happy over the prospect of reading a disability story that I never knew existed, I received Secrets on the mail today. I read the whole thing as soon as I got it. Put Starsky in a chair, on elbow crutches, throw in Hutch getting beaten up and essentially blinded for a while, and I am the happiest person in the world. The story's getting put on the zine shelf and kept, to be re-read. WheelchairStarsky, I need that in my life:) |
