Subject:Let's All Go To The Movies
Time:5:41 pm.
Mood: peaceful.
Music:Hurt by Johnny Cash.
You know something sad? I'm re-reading my pilot script because I wanna finish it this weekend and I think in the second scene....uhh, I think one of my guys tried to make plans to go to a gay bar....an underage gay bar. That's kinda bad. They were trying to figure out what to do that night and Richard said how about trying the new bar over on some street. Uhhh, apparently that new bar isn't what I thought it was. I'm trying to be vague in relationships and places they hang out in case I want to set up that one has had previous homosexual relationships since that's where this is headed down in the middle of the season. Geez, even my unconscious mind is sabatoging me.

I posted about my adventures in PMG movie watching on the SH community, but it bears repeating. I finished racing through the scenes of my new Fiddler on the Roof DVD thiss morning. Seriously, if you like this movie AT ALL, get the Special Edition version. The extras and commentary on this movie is astounding. The director's commentary adds to the film so much. You get backstory about the set-up of these scenes, the cutting and adaptation from stage to film, and little tidbits of information that you wouldn't otherwise know (for example, Perchik was not supposed to be blue-eyed, so the director made Paul wear contacts throughout filming...which really wasn't that good for his eyes, causing them to water constantly, and considering the eye problems he's had throughout his life) The behind the scenes material of filming certain scenes, such as the Red Square scene, made it so much more enjoyable. The second shot, the one they printed, got cut in the movie during editing. In the behind the scenes you see the extent Paul (Michael) went through for the fight scene;) That soldier knocked him upside the head and made him fall so that all the crew were overly concerned that maybe he wasn't okay. Nah, he's fine. It's method acting:) AND! The Special Edition has Paul's cut song on it. "Any Day Now" was done in the play, but was not filmed for the movie version. Paul laid the track in London and it's included in the movie extras. That alone is worth the cost of the whole movie. So, really, if you like the movie in any form, consider buying the Special Edition version.

This was watched after I skipped through Paul's scenes for Something's Gotta Give. I watched them normally, then with the two commentaries on. Did you know that Paul was cast, aside from being a friend of Nancy's, because he looked enough like Amanda Peet to justify a family resemblance and to make the father/daughter connection look more real? Umm, okay. I just think he's pretty:) And while the commentary track with Nancy and Diane was about Paul and the pretty and casting, the commentary with Nancy and Jack? Jack fawning over Diane's performances and noting (like Paul) that it was a really good turkey sandwich:) Men and oral fixations, I love that.

I finally decided on Regarding Henry last night. I love that movie, love Harrison Ford. It's older men love. Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul, David McCallum, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Anthony Hopkins, Alan Rickman, and the list goes on. Mmm, they're so pretty:) I might try to watch another DVD tonight. It's dependent on if I get off the couch or if there's anything worth watching on television. I guess tomorrow will be more script-writing since today's accomplishment was re-reading and typing Fade In. Ahh, inspiration, it comes and goes.
