i am back in munich!
things change quickly, but i suppose that was the idea when purchasing my unlimited train pass... my last night in interlaken i met a guy named john, probably the only other one there that didn`t look like a frat brother.
he said he was going back to munich, i didn`t know where i was going, but thinking of going into croatia...so, i said i go back to munich for a day and then move on to croatia...
yes, i was going to hang in switzerland a bit, but other ways are calling. so, tomorrow night, i`ll be taking a sleeper train to budapest, staying there for....???? then heading down to SPLIT, in southern croatia...the ultimate goal is to get to dubrovnik, croatia which is said to be stunning.
from croatia, the obvious destination is greece since i`ll be down that way...
GREECE, my dream come true.
i think i am still on a high from my skydiving...it was really a catalyst to starting my trip...i feel like i am really on my way now, doing what i set out to...
the other night in interlaken was another lovely time...we walked around the quiet town at about midnight...the moon was just about full, and when we got on the main street and looked up, the moon was silouhetting the jagged mountain peeks...amazing.
it was so nice to leisurely, and safely, walk through the middle of a swiss town, down to the river, with no other sounds than feet shuffles and quiet voices....
we sat at the river for a good hour, dangled our toes in the glacial waters, and then came back.
simple actions with amazing results...
i`ve been drawing a lot, something that i probably don`t do enough of at home. i finished my book, the art of travel, and the entire last chapter was about drawing to enable one to see things in more depth and detail...quite true.
"when we observe how some people know how to manage their experiences-their insignificant, everyday experiences-so that they become an arable soil that bears fruit three times a year, while others-and how many there are!-are driven through surging waves of destiny, the most multifarious currents of the times and the nations, and yet always remain on top, bobbing like a cork, then we are in the end tempted to divide mankind into a minority (a minimality) of those who know how to make much of little, and a majority of those who know how to make little of much." ---nietzsche
