    Dear Katherine,

Welcome to Hampshire College Housing! My phone has been so busy, I
feel I know most of you already, but I do look forward to meeting you
personally on August 31. Much time and consideration has been given
to your housing preferences. Although most of the entering class
will be assigned to rooms in Dakin or Merrill, there are some
students who will be living in "temporary" housing, both on and away
from campus. Students assigned to Howard Johnson's will be the first
to be moved back onto campus, into permamnent rooms as availability
permits. Many of our lounges are also being used as temporary
bedrooms. If you're assigned to a lounge, please settle in and
become part of your hall community. Some permanent spaces may become
available for lounge residents, but we anticipate many lounges will
be used as bedrooms for the entire term. All our assigned rooms have
a full complement of bedroom furniture, as well as phone and internet
access. Most assignments were made according to the date you paid
your initial deposit, resulting in later paying students being
assigned to temporary housing, although we did make some exceptions
this year in order to put well defined groups together at the hotel.
Housing assignments are made based on availability of beds and not
disabilities, unless authorized by one of our Disabilities Service
    Coordinators.

    Your room assignment is:

Dakin House E103 Residential Dorm Single

    The phone number is: 413 559 4993

You may sign your room contract and pick up your keys between 9:00
a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at your house office on Thursday, August 31st.

Enjoy the remainder of the summer. See you next week!

    Sincerely,
    Linda Mollison
    Director of Housing Operations

I love how in that letter they had temporary in quoation marks.

Yeah, so work was absolutely awful today. I hated every fucking minute of it.
I went to the doctor and got some shots and my blood drawn. That was the highlight day....
I take that back. Finding out I have a single gives my life new hope. I have to go to target and pick up some new shit tomorrow. Phone, Polelamp, ect.
    Not to mention clothes.......

    Oi!
