Subject:Always forget this journal...
Time:8:03 am.
Mood: thankful.
Music:No music yet, but soon..
I have to read four and a half chapters and finish my Stats lab. I also have to make turkey dinner, two pies and all the trimmings. I'm so lazy. I've been busy so I decided to take most of this weekend off and relax. Now I have to get back at it. *sigh* poor me.

P.S. My van is still broken and I can't fix it until the middle of November now. Wah!!!

and great conversation. It doesn't always have to be highly intellectual, either. Just enjoyable.

I was just reading the blog of someone I know through a friend and was very put off by the attempts at sounding like an intellectual. Things like pretending to only know the French for a well-known English phrase, sounding off about the idiocy of someone who disagrees with this person, speaking out about something we all know like this person was the first one to come up with this idea etc. etc. etc.
I've always called people like this pseudo-intellects. They go on about things they pretend to be experts on but are really only just trying to baffle us with their Bull Sh_t! Maybe I should feel bad that this person needs to try to make his/herself feel better in such a way. It usually justs frustrates me because the things said are mostly wrong.
Okay, I'm breathing and going to a happy place.

I just got a new mike for my computer but I have to test it out on someone because, right now, I'm not even sure it's working. Assumptions are not always correct. Especially in the wonderful world of computers. I'll check it out later.
Food now!!

Subject:Demo...
Time:11:05 am.
Mood: disappointed.
Music:Clock ticking. It's kind of ominous....
Apparently the demo video will be ready by the end of this month. It's part of a promo package and H will be shopping it around for us. I really hope we can get this going for September. If we could get two gigs a month starting in September I would be able to get caught up and then some. I'll need to focus on rent first, then clear off the rest of my monthly bills, and then I can concentrate on fixing my vehicle. Lots of cash needed for that. I've already resigned myself to not seeing my parents for Christmas, can't afford to fix the hood on the vehicle as well as get everything else done. It's just going to have to wait. Maybe I can sneak up there next Summer to make up for it.
B-F suggested I might go visit my brother in Ed. if he's going to be home. I'm thinking he'll be going to the parent's. Oh, well.

Subject:Methinks I have been neglecting this site...
Time:9:05 pm.
Mood: grateful.
Music:TV blasting in my right ear..
I don't know why I never seem to update regularly here but here's the latest.
Demo video has been taped and is being edited by "Elvis". I did Marilyn, Reba and then Patsy. It went well. I'm a little concerned about two of our people, they just don't seem able to project their voices. "Frank" and I are the only ones who could be heard without the mikes, the others could barely be heard with the mikes unless the things were really turned up. Problem with that is you get a ton of feedback and when the next person who uses the mike CAN project, you clip the mike which can cause it to blow it's electronics as well as damage the sound board. But that's not my problem to worry about. And it just isn't possible for me to hold back when I'm singing. For one thing it sounds really crappy, for another I spent too much time and money with my voice coaches learning how to project properly so I'm NOT going to waste all that hard work, time and cash.

B-F has been so great. He's really turning out to be my dream guy in so many ways. I'm falling in love with him all over again. Every time I see him I get all mushy and starry eyed. I've never experienced this before, but I'm really enjoying it. *giggles and squirms*

I may be having money troubles right now (they'd be a lot worse without the help from B-F), but I really do have a great life! I am so lucky in my family, friends and boyfriend. I thank the Universe daily for my good fortune.

I should be in the shower. I need to get a few food items before I can get started on that dress I need for Reba.
I also need to pay a bill online before I can go do all that. Slow start to a busy day is not a good portent!
In other news, my printer crapped out! It doesn't work at all, just sits there sounding like it's trying to grind gravel. Argh!! I found a 3 in 1 at Staples for $140 but that's going to have to wait till September at the earliest. No printing for me for a while. Rats!!

Time:10:41 am.
Mood: awake.
Music:Yawns from my almost awake self..
Got a message from B-F this morning. It seems I haven't returned any calls for a couple of days. He just wanted to let me know, so I left two messages for him. I understand how he feels because I get the same way if he doesn't call me for a couple of days.

I'm sleeping later these days. Didn't wake up till almost 9:00 today. Yikes, this is not good. I have to be up around 6:30 next week, I'm getting a new student and we're meeting two hours earlier than my present student. Gotta try to get up early this weekend so Monday isn't such a shock to my system.

One of my tutoring students has finished for the Summer. She said that another friend of hers wants tutoring until the end of August but she didn't call last night so I'm guessing, if she does call, she will wait until Monday. My other student is having trouble with her boyfriend. probably because she is leaving to go back home at the end of the Summer. She cancelled yesterday's session and I'm waiting to hear from her for today. I think she may need the weekend to get this sorted out.
If things go well I may have three students to tutor for the rest of the Summer. That would be good.

Time:12:35 am.
Mood: accomplished.
Music:The cool, refreshing swish of my fan..
But, I had to update.
Yesterday, I came home with some groceries, got them put away and, after dinner, cleaned up a little. Later that evening I noticed my pinky ring was not on my finger, I searched but couldn't find it. This broke my heart since my oldest brother gave me that ring many years ago. Later I got a call from the young man I've been tutoring, he wants to try another tutor (his words). Oh well, there goes half of my income. I went to bed.
This morning as I staggered into the kitchen I stepped on...... My Ring!!! Yay!!! So I got ready and went to tutor the girl from Taiwan, at least she likes what I'm doing and doesn't try to tell me how to do it. And yes, T. pronunciation IS important if you want people to understand what you're saying!!! Y knows this.
Anyway, she told me that another girl in her class wants to sign up for lessons. I gave Y my card for her friend and got a call this evening. One hour a day starting Monday. Yay again!! A good day.
This evening I tore my computer apart, put it back together again and now have a working scanner and CD-RW!! Woo Hoo!!!!
Me for bed now.

Just sitting here typing, thinking I should be reading the next chapter for Social Psyc, and taping the scripts for hypnotherapy (the tape recorder is due back on Tuesday), and doing any of a ton of things I want to do. Oh well.

I got A- on both of my tests. I need to do better.

Think I've come up with a band-aid solution for my money problems, I'll find out Tuesday.

Guess I should try to tape at least one or two of those scripts. *sigh*

Time:9:40 am.
Mood: cranky.
Music:TV.
It seems I am not able to remember this site! This is not good since I really like my bats!
I've finished my first semester back, four courses, 15 to 20 hours a week working on campus and I managed to get the following grades:
Ancient Greece: A
Modern English Grammar: B
Dramatic Literature: A-
Into to Sociology: A+
Now I'm taking the Spring semester. Psychology times two; Personality Theories and Social psyc. My textbooks new would have cost me $300.00 but I checked out the used book site and got them for $120.00, very pleased.
There is a small sadness, though. I have not yet won the damn lottery! This in not copesetic! Need money!!! Grr.

Subject:Forgot I hadn't updated for an age.
Time:3:08 pm.
B-F is home doing his laundry so I'm catching up on a few things here. He told me last week that I don't have to pay back the money he loaned me! What a guy! He'll be back later and we'll have dinner and watch the movie he set a reminder on.
I got my laundry finished, there were a couple of B-F's things in there so I folded them and put them in "his" drawer.
He came over on Thursday (our two year anniversary) with a dozen red roses, and a box of 12 root beers. Then yesterday he showed up with a "Bounce Around Tigger" he found in Value Village, he knows I really like Tigger so he got it for me. I had to put new batteries in both that one and mine but it was so funny when I had them both going at the same time. We watched Enterprise, ate pizza (that he paid for) and then watched a movie.
When I was putting pop in the fridge I found a bottle of white Vampire wine that I bought about a month ago. I think I might just partake of some this evening. Tomorrow is study day for my chapter test in Linguistics so I have to do my partying tonight. *sigh*

Subject:Looong time since I updated.
Time:7:58 pm.
Mood: excited.
Music:Some stupid movie..
Let's seeeee...

I came home on Friday and B-F was here (yay!). He had come by early as he had no hot water in his building. He brought his VCR since mine crapped out, and on his way in he made sure my car was plugged in because the temperature was going to drop. It may not sound like much but it meant a lot to me since I have a lot of trouble remembering to plug in unless I've just been driving.
He dried and put away the dishes that I washed from our dinner that night, he's been doing so many things for me I'm getting really spoiled. Tonight he had to go out for a while but instead of bringing me a Coffee Crisp when he came back (I asked if he'd get me one) he came back right away with two Grandes. He also loaned me some money to pay bills this month and told me not to worry about paying all of it back. Is it any wonder that I love this guy? He told me today that he's happiest when he's here, me too. I told him I like having him here so he'd know he came come over anytime and stay. He also wants to stop smoking, he's going to go to the doctor and get a perscription for a stop smoking aid. I'll help him any way I can, I offered to use hypnotherapy and he said he wants to wait for a bit. As long as he knows I'm willing to help.
Things are getting started with the work from home, too. I've lost about 1 1/2 to 2 inches since I started with the products, I feel really good (except the last few days, sinuses were causing jaw pain), my energy is at a peak and stays up all day, I sleep sooo well at night now, I'm starting to see the weight loss (I have a real waist again). I can't say enough about this stuff, I've replaced one meal per day with the shake, I take the vitamins and I'm getting results! Now I'm going to start retailing this stuff and eventually I'll be recruiting new distributors. The timing is really good for me, I've just gone back to college so I need something I can do part time.
School is great but my grades are a bit disappointing, I've got two of my tests back and only got Bs. For those who know me, this is not good enough! Need to bring it up to an A. I have another round coming up soon, maybe then.

Music:Heater pumping out warmth on this evil cold day!.
I didn't notice before but B-F made the bed again today! He's also been saying things like "I love you, I really love you." and "I love you so much." I wonder if our little break from each other has made him realize what he gave up before. I haven't really been any different with the way I treat him than I was before with the one exception that, when it's been bitterly cold, I've let him smoke in the bathroom with the fan on. I would have let him smoke in the bathroom before but the fan was broken, nowhere for the smoke to go but into the rest of the apartment and, believe me, this is a very small place for smoke to be smogging it up. *cough, gag*

I finished my SLGY paper, just want to take a few hours before I proof read it one last time and then submit it. I've also read the intro to my HUMN text and just need to scan chapter one before class tomorrow. I'm looking forward to being in class tomorrow, I'm also looking forward to getting my first grade of the semester, cross fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else that's crossable!

B-F took us to breakfast at our favourite little coffee shop, I ate like a little piggy! It was delicious! He came in long enough to get his touque and take my garbage bags to throw away for me. He wants me to have enough time to finish my SLGY paper and read the one chapter I have left for HUMN. He's very impressed with my commitment as a student. I don't know what his experiences were but, for myself, I need good grades, I'm a keener! So, now I'm going to finish my paper and submit it on Blackboard. I'm sooooo glad that it's finally set up. *grin*

In other news, my Mozilla Firefox weather notifier says FRIGID!!!!! Ice crystals, minus 22 and winds at 10 Kmh. What the @*%$ is that about?

Subject:FRIDAY!!!!!!
Time:4:54 pm.
Mood: geeky.
Music:Silence.
Whoopee!!!!!! I am just waiting for Popsicle Toes to arrive so we can go for tea! Yay. We are also book hunting tonight and may be joined by Ms. F. Yay!

It looks as if my classes will be very interesting this semester, SLGY 2201(Intro) may be the most demanding, either that or ENGL 2237(Intro to Dramatic Lit). HUMN 3309 (Ancient Greece) is just plain cool, and LING 3321(Grammar) is going to be very helpful with writing papers. Can't wait until MRC Blackboard is up and running so I can check out the short paper SLGY teacher put on there. I have to write a one page critique of either the paper or one of two chapters in our text and submit it on Blackboard before class time on Monday and then hand in a hard copy when I get to class. We only need to do 5 of those for the term but if we do all 8 we get an extra 3% credit, guess what I'll be doing? I'm a keener, what can I say? Anything that gets me extra credit is always worth doing.
Today I managed to get my LING instructor to tell us when to use who and whom. Now I know, leave a comment if you want to know. Even if I never use the information I like to have it. Grammar can be so confusing, at least if I have the knowledge I can use it if the need arises. Most of the rules are written in the front pages of the Oxford and Webster dictionaries, although, I don't think I'd trust the Webster as this is American English, Oxford is British so the rules are still intact. The British are such snobs about their language they can't stand anyone changing the rules, so it's a safe bet they would be the correct ones.

B-F is coming by tonight after I get back from tea so I don't know if I'll have time to check Blackboard again until tomorrow. He's very patient about my doing homework, so far. I hope that doesn't change. He seems to think I'm more intelligent than he is, apart from the fact that I'm ten years older than he is and may have more life experience lessons I don't see where he would get that idea. He went to university and studied a lot of the same things I did so unless he's made a real effort to forget all that it doesn't make sense that I would be smarter than he (grammar *grin*). Oh well, he'll just have to get over it.

Have to go get ready now, bye!

I have been way too busy and way too lazy for my own good. That all changed with the first day of classes yesterday. I have completed all homework (even though it wasn't really assigned) except the last half of the Sociology chapter. This should be a good semester. All I need now is a job and I'll be fine. I have to go make a call now to do just that, find a job. Later gator.

before I leave.
I went out to install the new serpentine belt for my vehicle but there was another belt that needs to be removed first. No way! I have no idea what it does or if I can reset it properly so I'm taking parts to parent's and Dad and my older brother can help me.
Ms. F and I went and got the parking tags from Parking Authority, so now I can park for free on her block. Yay. I have a pass for my car for all of section C so if someone comes to visit for more than two hours I'll park on the street and they can have my stall. Yay!
Went to the college and got my loan papers back. I'm all set. The only down side is, I may not get any hours in the S.T.A.R.T. labs, they've had their funds cut AGAIN!!! I may not get any work from them at all unless one of the students has a conflict between work hours and class times. I'll have to hope that the work from home thing gets off to a good start or I'm screwed! Yikes!!
I've got the first batch of honey buns in the bread maker, I have a load of laundry to do but there was someone else's clothes in the washer, and since it had just started I decided to put off laundry for a while.
I need to do laundry before I can pack for the trip. I need some (ok, a lot) of the clothes that are, at this time, residing in the dirty clothes basket. Christmas presents are wrapped, I have a list so I don't forget anything (except the things I forgot to put on the list), and the vehicle is gassed up and ready to go. I had a bit of a scare this morning when I went to start the car to go to the college. I hadn't tightened the battery cables enough so the engine wouldn't start. Argh! B-F came out with my tool kit and tightened them for me. The tool kit is still in the vehicle, it goes with me, and all should be well. I got a call from my brother (the one who lives at my parent's ranch), he says the roads are pretty icy so I'll have to go slow. I guess that means that I won't be arriving tomorrow night. I'll have to spend the night somewhere along the way. I've done that before, no big deal.
Happy Holidays to all!!!
