Swanky news-- there's a praying mantis sitting on the window! It's outside, actually, and... it looks like it's clinging to the screen or something. (I thought there was glass past the screen, but.. eh, what do I know?) I'm only guessins that's where it is, because it's sort of rocking back and forth/wobbling like it's on an unstable surface. I took a few photos of it, so I'll have those to show in... not too long, the film's almost out. Nice close-ups... I just hope they turn out. ^^ Too bad I can't get its back, only its underside... ah well.
Anyway, uhm...
There's going to be a Suikoden 4! ^o^ I'm so overjoyed at that news, seriously. It makes me just plain happy~ I just plain love that series.
Bah, bad news--I'm going to be gone from Thursday thru Sunday. I have to go to Rhode Island, 'coz Mum has a business trip and has decided I need to do some college visits. I'm going to be checking out Brown, and the Rhode Island School of Design. The problem with this... well, I have art class on Friday, and I'm not going to be there for it. And Friday's supposed to be around when we finish up our first project...
...so I don't know if I'll have time to finish. I'm fairly close to it, but still... ... *shrug*
Actually, I'm really proud of my project. I haven't been doing a lot of art lately, which was kinda bothering me, but this... ^^ I'm happy with it. There's a big still life set up at one side of the room, and everyone's drawing something from it. There's a skeleton wearing a sombrero and a poncho, and I chose to do a picture of the skull (and a bit of the poncho and sombrero). Even though it's an image of a plastic skeleton, I think I've managed to capture a real 'mood' with it. Exaggertaing some of the highlights and shadows has really helped make it look nice, and... yeah~ ^^;
The piece feels 'lost' to me. That probably sounds weird, considering what I just said about it, but... well, what I mean by that is... the emotion conveyed is sort of, "'this' is the end, but I don't know what 'this' is."
Yeah, I'm pleased with it, blah blah blah. I'm going to try and take a picture of it (it's too big for the scanner ^^;).
Oh, and I desperately wish that RO icons worked on, say, LJ. Because there have been so, so many times when I've wanted to use "/no1" to people. (It's like a little winking face doing thumbs up~) XD
edit: There are certain things that I should feel guilty for, but really, I don't. It's impossible to care anymore, rofl.
Oh, and I'm beginning to wonder if the mantis is just wobbling because of the wind. Hmmm. It's a big bug... I didn't remember how big mantises got. Wow, haha. I want to design a monster or something based loosely off of it, since it's just so cool.
