OK. Otakon 2003 was insanely fun.
Friday started out a bit slow--the line, as you can probably guess, was really long. Blech. So I stood in Ye Olde Line, and chatted with the people around me. I got a couple of people asking who I was cosplaying, and no one recognized me. Chances of finding a Ban to glomp were looking pretty slim.
I darted out of line at one point to get a photo of a nifty Haku (Naruto~) and ... then the line moved. Inside. So I had to dart back IN line. I fell in with another group who I chatted with for a bit. Much complaining about the line was done--then I found out that half of 'em were GB fans! XD Hurrah! Cassie, V, Tom and... the one old lady (;;;) were all pretty cool. I hung out with them for an hour or two, early on. I lost them eventually (of COURSE I lost Tom, he's a wily bastard--more on this late), but sat down and chatted with an Anna and Kanna (!) for a while.
Hung out with them, cut in the Dealer's Room line with them, went to the Dealer's Room with them... XD Fun.
I eventually lost them too, however, when I stopped to dig through doujinshi at a booth that.. had doujinshi for sale. I grabbed a cute HaoYoh book, and a Riou x McDohl book. There weren't a lot of ManKin doujinshi, and what there were were eeeevil things like YohAmida. (Amidamaru uke..? ^^;) There was one Manta x Yoh book, bleeeeech, and NO HOROREN. The lack of HoroRen was definitely the biggest disappointment.
Wandered around for a bit, and ran into Kanna and Anna again. They were talking to a Yoh and Faust--who turned out to be Crysi and Yashahiime (sp?). Hung out with those two for a while. Watched AMVs, etc, etc.
There were some darn fine AMVs. o__o; I'm gonna put the list behind a cut, just to save space for people who don't care. XD

Anyway, let's see... I wandered on my own for a bit. I think at one point I ran into a Ban AND another Ginji, so I stalked those two for a bit. (Me and other-Ginji fought over the Ban.. =x=)
I found someone cosplaying a Poring from Ragnarok Online, which just seemed like genius. Also saw a Blacksmith, an Acolyte, a Priest, and a Bongun (!). :3 Hurrah, RO cosplayers! There was a novice on Saturday, too. XD
There were a lot of Suikoden cosplayers this year. More than I expected to see, at least? There were at least two Yubers, and possibly three. Two Futches, two Ceasars, an EXCELLENT Nash, a very nice Sierra, a Nanami... A couple of Hero 2s and Jowys... 3 Culgans (o__O), 1 Seed (VERY good o__o!!!!) who had a Highland banner (ALSO very good XD), a Camus or two, Miklotov, and... others. They all met up at noon on Saturday for a photo shoot, so of course I wandered down and took lots of pictures! XD ...They might turn out badly, though, because my camera was being a bitch. :/ I've got decent shots of at least a couple of them, though.
Lesseee... back to Friday! Uh, time passed, blah blah blah, wandered and took pictures, yay! I had to buy more film at one point, bleh, because I'd forgotten to get any earlier. Lesseeee... I was really tired, but I went to one last panel anyway!
The "Your Wings Are Mine" panel was unfortunately messed up. It was pretty cool, but lots and lots of technical difficulties. The author PLANNED on giving a presentation on her process for making the comic, and THEN taking questions about the series, her process, etc.. but... :/ She had to take questions first. ^^; FINALLY they got the TV working, and she showed us what progs she used, how she did stuff, etc... Pretty interesting. ...There's a prog just for adding in text bubbles? XD; At the end, everybody got a free postcard. ^^ Yay.
So then I went home! And went to sleep! Grrrrr.
Let's see, Saturday... uh... got there a little late, but that didn't matter. I forget what I did. Took pictues, I guess. Went to the Suikoden photoshoot thing, snagged a few pics. At one, went to a ManKin photo thingy. Took some pictures there. Yay. I was sitting around with the ManKin cosplayers when a Ban (who had a crucified tare!Gin! XDDDD) was sighted. She was glomp'd, and... I was ordered to pass out flyers. XDDD
The Ban had to go for a little bit, but came back soon enough. So I hung out with her for the rest of the day. XD As the day wore on, we ran into a few more GB cosplayers. A tad surprising, considering the lack of recognition on Friday. More people recognized us on Saturday. It definitely rocked--we got a couple yells as we walked by ("GETBACKERS! You guys rock!") and such. w00t!
Let's see... oh, jeez, we wandered for a bit, and, uh... got missions. I'm gonna C/P a convo with Chira for this part. XD; Putting it behind a cut, just for space, because this is a darn long entry.
( Mission: Retrieve Tom or Else! (plus: find the agents!) )
Uh... yeah. =x= I've lost my train of thought. Errr... yes.

V. v. cute Naruto illust, and a luffly bit of art that's apparently from Angel Sanctuary? I don't know the series at all, but it's still darn pretty, so I bought it anyway. XD

A few random notes to myself/others who may care, 'tho I'm sure when I need them I won't be able to find them:
1. NEED to find lyrics to the Ban and Ginji duet! ...Why? Have plans to revive the Ginji costume one day next year, and do karaoke or something w/ 'my' Ban. XD
2. Get to work on Jubei costume at least a month before Otakon, because doing the sewing on a costume in one day = crap.
3. Make a sign that says "heal plz" XD
